Burger King sued over 1.00 double cheeseburger

I ate two of those things for lunch every day while I was recovering from my surgery.

Those damn doubles really pissed me off. They aren't bigger than McDonald's double cheeseburgers at all. They may taste better, but they're the same damn size.

Ok, they're losing 10 cents on the cheeseburger, but how much are they making on the pop and fries they probably sell with it?

Morg, you are a cheapskate. They should throw you out the restaurant.

I wonder if he brings in his own cheese slices?

Cheap? No, realistic. You do know the soda and ice has the most germs? The ice itself can have more germs then the bathroom :csad:

But when you go to the movies you do bring your own hot dog/nacho cart.

I bring a water bottle and candy bar or something. I'm not paying 5.00 for a small drink

Who doesn't bring their own food to the movies?

When I went to see GI Joe it was honey roasted peanuts and skittles hidden in my jacket.

I feel a little sorry for the franchise owners whose pockets this promotion is coming out of, but that's not going to stop me from taking advantage of it! Two of those things plus fries is a perfect sized meal for barely $3.50.

This was the same point I was making to my wife earlier today. I have no sympathy for a place that charges $.40 to add cheese to a Whopper, and then *****es over losing $.10 on a burger.

That's what happens when you smash the sandwich together like they normally do. The Burger King cheesburger in the commercial is just barely put together. The McDonald's one is smashed together.

Oh yeah, you all are losing .10 a burger. Meanwhile in the real world poor people are losing their jobs, homes, & god knows what else! I f-ing hate greed!

That's what I hate about BK. Compared to McDonald's and Wendy's they over-charge like crazy! Its reached the point that their value meals are like $7. Ridiculous. That's why I only go to BK when those coupons arrive on the mail.

Also, BK isn't dumb. I'm sure they did the math before going ahead with this deal. The franchises are just complaining cause they can't overcharge.

Is taste or size really the issue? When you're paying a buck for a double cheeseburger you can't exactly expect a lot. Just go to the one that is closest. Unless you have a Wendy's nearby.

Really? Good god! I guess people really need their money over the dumbest things.
