The next and last Burnout game of the current gen is a Sony exclusive and will appear on the PS2 and PSP. I never even knew this title was being developed till now and it comes out in March! It looks like it will focus more on the gameplay from the earlier games and not as over the top as Revenge. I hope it comes out good but I love Revenge (my favorite racer). Crash mode is out and that sucks bc that mode was so much fun. Here's an article by IGN on the new title

I never liked the ggames like Burnout revenge, it seemed too crash focused and not racing focused with cool crashes imo.

If the game is good I might consider it for my PSP.

no its Burnout Dominator. Burnout 5 is only coming to the next gen systems. They are 2 completely different games

Really? I always felt despite the amount the crashing, the game was still race focussed. Sure, there's a lot of crashing going on, but in the race mode it's balanced pretty well. I generally don't like crash games either, but Burnout has always been an exception to the rule for me.

That said, I've got one too many Burnourts for the PS2 now. I'll be giving this last one a miss.

I've only played some on 2 and Revenge, it didn't do it for me. Revenge just felt too crash focused and it wasn't like the tracks were particularly clear, they would stick things in your way every few seconds for no other reason then to crash you.

Motorstorm strikes a better balance imo.

burnout is easily my favorite racing franchise, but, why can't this be an exclusive for the ps3 instead of the ps2/psp?

sony is kind of running out of exclusives for the ps3, and this would have helped... oh well.

Burnout has been multiplatform the last few games. The next generation version were never going to be exclusive.

i know, i know, i was just saying: if they an get this one as an exlusive, why not for ps3?

same with god of war 2. they should have been working on it for ps3 all along. it more than likely would have been the best launch title of all time... oh well, i'm still looking forward to both titles anyway.

God of War II probably would have been a pretty spectacular system seller, but there's a bigger user base for the PS2.

God of War III will be epic. I mean look what they're acomplishing with God of War II...

Sony is going to have to rely on their own first parties more then ever this next gen, because development climate and Microsoft moneyhats are making more and more titles that were Sony exclusive go multiplatform. It's a good thing that they seem to be funding and developing a ton of first party games (many of which we haven't even seen yet) they're going to need it.

I dont think Sony set out to get this as an exclusive. I think the developers had no choice but to put this as an exclusive for Sony systems. The Xbox and Gamecube are dead. It would be pointless to release a new Burnout on those systems. The PS2 still has life in it and Im sure it will be more successful here than it would have been on those 2 systems. More than anything I think this was mainly set to be a PSP title but since it wouldnt be too hard to develop it for the PS2 anyway, so they decided to put it on both systems.

I was playing this game recently and while good, I dont think its as great as Revenge. I dont like that they took out some of the additions added in teh last 2 games
