Buzzfeed Polls General Audience On The DCEU

It's a better way of gauging then say, "Well all my friends said this movie was good."

Actually it's worse.

Buzzfeed is blocked on my feed's because of their biased opinions with little to no facts in almost all of their media due to sensationalism at its finest.

But sadly as you can see the OP was banned, and I'm guessing it's because of similar threads/posts that don't have any context to anything being discussed and sole purpose is to try to start a "hate dceu" thread.

Which no doubt the usual suspects show up and add the exact same thing they say in every single DCEU thread as if what they say is "valuable" opinion.

This is not some statement their staff are making based on their own personal opinions. This is a PUBLIC voted poll. They didn't force thousands and thousands of people to vote.

If that was the case this thread would be either locked or deleted. But it's not. So what ever the reason for the OP's banning, it's got nothing to do with this thread.

Which no doubt the usual suspects show up and add the exact same thing they say in every single DCEU thread as if what they say is "valuable" opinion.

By the "usual suspects" you mean people who dislike the DCEU for valid reasons. Just like we get the "usual suspects" who complain about every critical DCEU thread or discussion because they can't stand seeing something they like get bashed continuously.

And people who like them like them for valid reasons too.

Who said otherwise? The detractors also don't go around complaining about positive discussions or threads about the movies. Or call your opinions "valuable ones".

:whatever:

There's opinions and then there's acting like your opinion is black and white. I do find it sad the same people seem to get a kick out of constantly belittling these movies.

Woooo! Drop that mic!
Wow I can't believe the OP was banned he only had 20 posts.

That's your own personal hang up. That's why you're always involved in these opinion type arguments. Unless someone says what they're saying is fact, then they are only speaking on their own behalf.

Like now, you are speaking on your own behalf, but you're acting like what you're saying is a fact.

There's nothing sad about belittling movies that made a balls up of characters you love. I mean you of all people should get that, especially given you're all about the right to voice your opinions, no matter how harsh, given how you support threads that make personal attacks on members of this forum. Far harsher, not to mention inappropriate than criticizing a movie. If this was a thread with a poll showing stats that praise the DCEU there wouldn't be a peep out of any of the ones (all DCEU fans) who are complaining about this thread.

The only people who have issue with it are the ones who are fans of it. They can't stand seeing something they like get criticized constantly.

It's the same but larger. Only a certain type of people use Buzzfeed like those who would be in the same friend group.

This is neither shocking or mind boggling to people outside of the JL/BvS boards/echochambers.

Nothing compared to how belittled the characters ruined in these films are.

I don't see anything wrong with the poll results personally. People are only voting for their one favorite. If you did the same poll during the mcu at the same point in time you would also see a heavy favorite and other picks sink to the bottom regardless if they were liked or not. I can only imagine how the villain thing would go.

That they made WW a heavy favorite is a good thing. Though I'm sure it's easy to spin just about anything and everything negative if people try. I'm hoping aquaman of all people becomes the favorite soon after. Another big win imo.

This isn't 'run off voting'.
just noticed the OP got banned. oh well.

It doesn't matter who performs the poll. The general audience is the measurement here in all cases regardless of what group of peope are polling them. 100k is a legitimate representation of the GA.

Being fair, its still a biased sample, due to being a self-selected internet poll. . . but at the least, its much more accurate and meaningful than any of the polls *here*, with an equally biased sample and only a few hundred votes at most.

There are ways to say it. But in any case you carry on as will I

Constantly doing it and making little comments everytime is very very sad. If it was actually constructive and not just repeating the same crap over and over cause the ones who dislike it can't stand it been praised then it would be fine.

If by "belittling" you mean "pointing at the flaws the movies have". . . well, those flaws haven't exactly gone away, have they? If the movie is, in my judgement, bad today, its. . . still going to be bad six months from now.

Besides, they are movies, not people. They don't have feelings to be hurt. Calling a crap movie crap does it no harm, and it doesn't do any more harm for repetition. It may cause harm to the people who *made* the movie, but well, they should make better movies then.

This. Let's call it what it is instead of pretending the problem is buzzfeed or how people express their opinions.

Buzzfeed is a legit website.

In regards to SS being popular, it did do pretty well last year. It's not necessarily surprising that people picked the Joker over probably other villains who aren't as over the top, Luthor not withstanding.

That is exactly what some of you DCEU/Snyder fans do all the time, heck you all have the Zack Snyder thread where you post pics of the guy as jesus/savior of the DC universe and you know what it's perfectly ok! You love the DCEU and that's great but what's not great is getting defensive and dismissing opposing opinions just because they don't agree with you.

There are ways to say it. But in any case you carry on as will I

Again that's exactly what you DCEU/Snyder fans do and it's ok when you're doing it in a thread meant to be positive towards Zack Snyder but not in every thread, where you feel that everyone has to like/love the DCEU or otherwise they're not welcome.

Any way you slice it, 100k is a solid number for a poll like this. Pretty hard to find a poll with a larger voter count. Beats out anything we do here on the Hype. What is sad to me is what the DCEU has done to Superman and the great character of Jonathan Kent. 1% is accurate and atrocious.

I'm still a little baffled as to why this version of Wonder Woman is being so well received, but I'm glad that she is.

I think it's because Diana was portrayed as a hopeful, optimistic, likable hero as opposed to the mopey superman or the psychotic batman, also the public found a well made female superhero movie a breath of fresh air.

Probably because Wonder Woman is the best comic book movie since The Dark Knight. Other than that, no particular reason.
