Cahiers Du Cinema as you know is one of the cornerstones of film criticism, a magazine almost boundless in their influence in how they have shaped film criticism and even film itself. So their Top 10 of the year is always really important, not less for the fact that if you pick up any of their list from 20 years ago, you will see that they picked films that are considered classics today.
So without further ado.
(IMDB links hyperlinked for those have haven't heard of these films and want to explore them).
1. Alain Guiraudie's "Stranger By The Lake"
2. Harmony Korine's "Spring Breakers"
3. Abdellatif Kechiche's "Blue Is The Warmest Color"
4. Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity"
5. Jia Zhang Ke's "A Touch Of Sin"
6. Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln"
7. Philippe Garrel's "Jealousy"
8. Hong Sang-Soo's "Nobody's Daughter Haewon"
9. Yann Gonzalez's "You And The Night"
10. Justine Triet's "Age Of Panic"
How many of the films you have seen and which do you think are worthy of bring included? (you can use the poll too)
