AS I mentioned earlier, businesses cannot refuse service based on race, color, religion or national origin under the Federal Civil Rights Act. The Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits businesses from denying service to disabled persons. States have passed their own laws as well. Other than that, businesses can refuse services.

Plus, the store that refused to make a cake wasn't the only place in Easton, PA to get a cake, especially since the family went to another store, walmart, to get their cake. So it's not like they were denied of a crucial service

They weren't denied a crucial service and I'm not saying that what the store did was criminal I'm saying it's asinine and stupid. It's disrimination based on NAME while it might not fall under the FCRA but it's still a pretty *****baggety thing to do.

They didn't discriminate. They simply refused a service. A service that another store decided to give.

Businesses have the right to serve whoever they darn well please...though I think the only people they could openly get away with discriminating against are racist white people.
