Looking around in here, I didn't see a thread dedicated to The Crow, which is arguably one of the best comic book films ever made.

It's got awesome action, some great acting, one of the most beautiful stories around, and a shockingly tragic backstory.

I'm a huge fan of everything havig to do with The Crow, so this thread s for anything related to The Crow films (even the dismal sequels).

Any other big fans here??

I thought everyone loved The Crow.

RIP: Brandon Lee :(

The Crow himself is a cross between Batman and the Joker.

There's a Crow thread every so often. It is a very popular film. AFAIC, right at the top of the comicbook movie chart there are two movies - Superman and The Crow.

I loved this movie, and it used to be my top comic book movie. Then came SpiderMan 2 and Batman Begins, so it's #3.

My only criticism is that they tattered the image with those trite sequels and that terrible TV series.

It's just so great. It has the feel of the comic, yet it creates a world of its own.

I love the Crow, it's one of my favorite comic-books, and movies of all time. I loved Brandon Lee's performance, overall I loved everyone performance and especially the mood set in the movie. I also like the sequels (I know, I know blah blah) but I still love em too (Especially City of Angels).

I hope to see a new Crow movie, hit the theaters and be a big success, someday.

City of Angels is such a mess.

I thought The Crow was a very good film, and a great adaptation of the original B&W comics that it was based on. Definately not as gory as the comics version, but the film really didnt need to be. What the film did achieve, was the mood that surrounded the comic books.

Couldnt ever bring myself to watch any more of the Crow sequels after City of Angels. :(

That it is. But it has some great quotes and imagery.

Someday in the future The Crow will be remade. There's no way around it.

And it has an amazing soundtrack, and score.

That's another great aspect of the movie. The soundtrack/score.

The soundtracks have some great songs, especially from the first film. And Revell's score is absolutely beautiful. The theme is so great.

the crow, oddly enough, is the only movie to ever make me cry.

I dont think the ending with Eric's fiance/girlfriend coming back could have been played out more beautiful.

That's cool. It's very tragic, so I can understand why.

I concur with every statement made here; The Crow is an absolutely wonderful film. There are very few films that I have ever come across that contain so much genuine emotion. It's so clear everyone involved was in love with the storyline.

If you know the film and the backstory of the shooting well enough, you can pick out where a body double is inserted in order to simulate Brandon Lee's prescence.

The famous scene of him putting on his makeup and all that stuff, going to the window, and the lightening flashing that reveals The Crow for the first time isn't even him, which is sad.

I loved the Crow. Don't know **** about the comic but I loved everything about the 1st film. And only the 1st film.

From the movie to the soundtracks (both music ost & score ost). Both are classics.

:cool::up::up:

Real sad what happened to Brandon :(

I loved the first Crow movie, I have it on both vhs & dvd. I even have a Brandon Lee as the Crow trading card that came along with the vhs tape. I actually liked The Crow: Salvation, it wasn't the best movie but it wasn't the worst movie either, I even bought the soundtrack but never got into listening to it.

Never read the comic, but the movie itself was very powerful. I choose not to acknowledge the sequels.

"Poweful" is a great way to describe it.

If you like the first and haven't seen the sequels, I suggest you check them out. They are each different visions and stories of The Crow, so you might enjoy them, though they are nowhere near the greatness of the first.

I thought the second one was just horrible. It made me wary of any further installments, & I generally believe that when a movie goes straight to video, there's a reason.

The Crow wasn't good and Brandon Lee can't act.

Wish I had seen this thread sooner!
