Can you name 5 things more important than civil liberties?

Define 'civil liberties'. :o

Kardashians
DC vs Marvel
Memes
Retweets
Bacon

Freedom of money, freedom of power, freedom of incarceration, rights to information and 'inventive means of acquiring important information'.

...

I feel like the Captain Pollution to your Captain Planet. :o

Air, water, food, clothes, shelter, God (if you're into that sort of thing), love, health, family, community, civil liberties....

War genocide, WMDs, North Korea, globalization, basic human rights, HIV, starvation and poverty

I'm pretty sure several of these could be filed under fewer categories like peace, health, physical needs, etc

Seems like a trick question. :)

Because civil liberties affect everything you value, that is why it is so important, isn't it?

If you are gay, and you want to have a pride march, or even companionship (romantic or with other LGBT folks, whatever), if the civil liberties are not there, will you have these?

Or, if you want to have interracial friendships and your country says no to those?

If you want to be healthy, but if you are beaten every time you speak up for freedom, will you have good health? More importantly, will you have good health, if you are not allowed to assemble peacefully as you will, or speak your thoughts, right to privacy and so on?

The things we love, I feel, need a bedrock of freedom to enjoy.
