Okay. I'm trying to edit this key in the registry and add another program to start up on my gaming PC. I'm currently using Steam as the Shell. This will allow me to use my controller as a mouse when I'm not using one without loading Windows Explorer.

Every tutorial points me to the same location in the registry, but I can't find it. I'm wondering if it's Windows 10 that has it in a new location or something. I'm a noob at this, so bear with me if it sounds like I don't know what I'm talking about.

Anyone? DogManBriscoe? Aziz?

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit =C:\windows\system32\userinit.exe,

I follow that path, but it does not have Userinit at all.

I got that from searching my win 10 registry. The key that you're looking for just has the path info for the executable. Is that what you want to change?

Yes simply edit it and add another program to the string, so it starts up with Steam as my Shell.

Okay ran another search in the registry, it finally popped up after the second time. Yay! Now to add Joy to Key.

Great. I've heard Steam OS lags big time. Let me know how it performs for you.

Well it's just Steam big picture mode, so I'm not entirely sure if they are the same. The web browser sucks though.
