FilmJerk has learned that Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz will reunite for Italian director Gabriele Muccino's (The Pursuit of Happyness) next project, A Little Game Without Consequence at Focus Features. Carrey and Diaz last starred together in the 1994 blockbuster hit, The Mask.

The movie will be based on the French play by Jean Dell and Gérald Sibleyras. It follows a seemingly perfect couple who pretend to break up, only to realize that their friends never liked them as couple to begin with. The play was adapted into a French movie in 2004.

Allan Loeb, who penned Things We Lost in the Fire, wrote the English-language adaptation. Muccino wrote and directed the award-winning L'Ultimo bacio, which was adapted into the upcoming English-language Zach Braff drama The Last Kiss.

The site says that filming on "Consequence" starts in New York City on October 23

Looking forward to this.:) They had great chemistry on The Mask, one of my favorite movies.
