Rule 63!
Basically, I started this thread because some dudes at the Batman Reboot Casting thread asked for it, so here it is. Btw, if you don't know what Rule 63 is:
"For any given male character, there is a female version of that character" (and visceversa)

I'll start with a "Rule 63" cast of Nolan's Batman:

Abbie Cornish as Brenda Wayne / Batwoman

Maggie Smith as Alice Pennyworth

Michelle Pfeiffer as Jane Gordon
images

Noomi Rapace as The Joker
images

Jake Gyllenhaal as Ronald Dawes
images

Michelle Williams as Hayley Dent / Two Face
images

Angela Bassett as Lucy Fox
images

Tilda Swinton as Ra'sa al Ghul
images

Helena Bonham Carter as Jennifer Crane / Scarecrow
images

Michael Fassbender as Catman / Sylvester Kyle

I also would cast Gina Carano as Bane, but that would be too ridiculous...

Cheers Axel. Here's my cast for "Lost in Translation"

Charlie- Andrew Garfield

Some individual characters ideas:

Chris Colfer as Derek Gale

You may be thinking WTF? but if you wanna keep the character just like the old movie, Chris Colfer would be perfect...

Natalie Portman as Domique Cobb

Rosie O'donell as Shrek

Anne Hathway as Superwoman / Cate Kent

Great cast for LotR, but Aragorn should be younger, someone like Lena Headey

The Wild Bunchet

Sigourney Weaver - Pika Bishop
Katy Bates - Dutch Engstorm
Cloris Leachman - Freddie Skies
Vera Farmiga - Layla Gorch
Zoe Bell - Tecta Gorch
Michelle Rodriguez - Angel
Linda Hamilton - Deka Thornton

Cheers Axel. Here's my cast for "Lost in Translation"

Nice. Very nice. That actually could work as an alternate universe version of Lost in Translation.

Ghost Bustresses

Elizabeth Banks - Petra Venkman
Tina Fey - Egona Spengler
Melissa McCarthy - Raylene Stanz
Gina Torres - Winnie Zeddmore
Charlyne Yi - Lilly Tully

Yes but Vigo was 43 at the time. And Aragorn is meant to look half his age not his actual age.

I'll just post these here. :hehe:

Anne Hathaway

I thought about Beckinsale, but I find Headey a much better actress

Oh, and btw, love that art, jmc, I saw it last year in your website... You rock!

Tilda Swinton as The Joker

Macauley Culkin as Harry Quinn

What about Aaron Paul as Harry Quinn?

Tilda as the Joker is brilliant!

I'm taking us into potentially uncomfortable territory here:

Sex and the City

Owen Wilson: Cary
George Clooney: Sam
Christian Bale: Mark-Andrew
Hugh Jackman: Charlie
Kristen Scott-Thomas: Ms. Big

Slide1small.jpg

The Big Lebowski

I've got all the characters minus Jan "The Dudette" Lebowski, too hard to find an actress...

Kathy Bates as Wilma Sobchak
Harrys-Law.jpg

Kristen Schaal as Theodora Deborah "Debby" Kerabatsos
Kristen-Schaal_l.jpg

Meryl Streep as Janice Lebowski

Edward Norton as Mark Lebowski

Jason Lewis as Benny Lebowski

Sigourney Weaver as The Stranger

Kristen Wiig could probably work as The Dude, Weaver doesn't work as The Stranger, though. I'd say Kathy Bates would be great, but she's so perfect for Walter.

No one can recast Die Hard. No one. But me...cause there are no female actors out there, sooooo...

Lisa Marie Varon-Tara in TNA and Victoria in WWE.

Julia Roberts as Antoinette 'Toni' Stark/Iron Woman

2it1zro.jpg

Ryan Phillippe as Virgil 'Peppy' Potts

27x2m37.jpg

Taraji Henson as Lt. Col. Jamie 'Rhodey' Rhodes/War Machine

Mercedes Ruehl as Yinsena

a9lchh.jpg

Diane Keaton as Ophelia Stane/Iron Mongress

If we're going strickly 616 comic book then Judi Dench as Justine Hammer

And Lena Olin as Ivana Vanko/Whiplash
