Kingfish, you keep saying no one knew who Renner was but I did and I know other people who did. Also his character from 28 Weeks Later had a moral crisis and fought against his own people. That is character development, especially for a zombie picture. But I am going to digress in this and unite with you against the typical Whedon choices that will amass.

I dunno about Fillion for Pym. I love every show the guy's been on. But he seems more like a Hawkeye than a Hank. But then that's blending his character on Firefly with Castle

Fillion is a good actor, but he is not Hank Pym. In pretty much any way. Thankfully, it's a kneejerk response, and not something that ever really has to be worried about. So...

It was pretty bad and Renner left as much impression as one of the zombies. Nothing he could really do, the character was just bland.

The point is, no one knew who he was until Hurt Locker. Sure, then everyone went back and noticed the background parts he'd done before, but nothing ever stood out.

But his performance in The Hurt Locker was pretty close to what Hawkeye should be...
