I like where everyones heads are at especially Chris Evans as Cage, Ray Park as Sub Zero and Vinnie Jones as Kano although Jason Statham would work too

Kenshi- Dougary Scott

Iknow these characters are from more recent games but i find them interesting

Dougary Scott is great but I couldn't see him playing kenshi for some reason.

Im not even really sure where it came from. It was kind of a first reaction. Wiki said he was Eurasian so I thought it would be ok casting a Euro actor but sometimes I like throwing out-of-the-box names and see if any stick.

What about Rick Yune for Kenshi

I just went through a list of Eurasian celebs and all the male actor are to old like Dean cain and Adrian Pasdar or they've been a Power Ranger

Just don't pull a Street Fighter and make one of the side characters the lead like Johnny Cage or Sub-Zero. It has to be Liu Kang all the way, same as the first one. Even if he did turn into a zombie later...wtf.

After Mortal Kombat 4, the story did sort of focus on Sub-Zero more; granted that Liu Kang was killed in Deadly Alliance.

This movie is in development hell. I love how 'Mink' says that this will be a Batman Begins-esque "re-envisioning." It's almost guaranteed that this movie will suck. The only way to do it would be with a mega-budget.

Some stories just cant be adapted. I'd say this is a lost cause. Anything you get may be cool but will prolly not be a proper MK representation

someone mentioned Stephen Chow as Liu Kang and i gotta say that's a very inspired casting choice. i've seen Ray Park mentioned many times as Sub-Zero but i would actually rather see him as Scorpion.

funny bit of info.....Ray Park played Raiden's stunt/fight double in Mortal Kombat Annihilation.

yes it's just his skull when he shoots fire, I always thought was kind of stupid.

I thought part one was decent, part two was messed up mostly because of the writing and horrible special effects of the movie but it did have some cool moments but overall is crap on a stick.

Mortal Kombat just needs to be a lot bigger. They've got tons of characters with a rich background and many fantastical looking realms. MK has easily what it takes for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon or LOTR proportions.
