Fun fact! Heughan played Batman in Batman Live.

i actually watched this show around 10 years ago when they came to perform in the south bay california.
he was very good as both batman and bruce wayne.
so aside from pattinson, i can't think of anyone else except heughan who could play a good batman.

it was a family friendly adaption of batman, but still played seriously like the animated series.
it was more or less a stage version of batman forever, but with better acting and characterization (more comic accurate). hahahaha!

so if you want comic accurate, non-psychotic batman who has already gone pass his emo phase - then sam's your man.

batman live is essentially heughan's audition tape for the role if he ever wants to play the gunn-verse batman. lol.

i haven't seen his acting myself yet, but others on these boards and outside seem to like him alot as an actor.

Corenswet was good in Pearl. He hasn't had a lot of exposure, which seems to fit the bill of more or less an unknown, which seems to always be a popular call for the role for folks on here.

I am new to site. I hope Gunn goes with the Justice League Cartoon characters from 2001-2004. With the Trinity, John Stewart, Hawkgirl, Flash and Martian Manhunter. I would go with single movies for Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman while build the other characters through the Max streaming service. Would love to see a John Stewart Green Latern series with Hawkgirl in a prominent role. Hopefully Gunn hires actors for the Trinity that won’t mind guest staring on the streaming shows. So looking forward to Gunn’s presentation in a month.

Superficially, maybe. But the two parts require very different kinds of actors. Batman only really succeeds when he’s played by an actor who has an ‘edge’. Someone as comfortable playing a psychopathic villain, as they are Batman. Clark is better played by actors who exude a playful charm, and are more wholesome.

You’d never cast Bale, Keaton or Pattinson as Superman, but you’d cast them all as The Joker.
