Cast the new DCU

She's got great jeans, Sawyer. Everybody says so. Professors even. :Trump:

Ah, yes. Trump’s comments about Sydney Sweeney. Nothing says “I’m not a creepy pedo” like a 79-year-old man publicly gawking at how hot a woman in her 20s is.

Sydney Sweeney as Black Canary would go hard.

I want Samara Weaver as Harley Quinn just because she looks like Margot Robbie, and I don't want any more retcons.

might be on the older side of the ideal age range for the seasoned Bruce Wayne....

but, what about Rossif Sutherland, 46, 6'4"

been seeing a lot of promo stuff for that new (Murder in a Small Town) show of his and hadn't thought of him in a while, but kinda works for grizzly older Bruce

There are a handful of over-40s I think could pull it off, but I’ve pretty much come to accept that DCU Batman isn’t going to be massively older than Superman. Late 30s at the oldest.

And what is wrong with that?

I mean Battinson will be 40 by the time his next movie comes out, and he's supposed to represent the early years of Batman's career...

so, having someone younger playing his later years seems kinda backwards

I get people are thinking of longevity of the role, and don't want someone who's going to age out of it in too soon, but, still

I think an older actor is a good way to differentiate the 2 universes

Fans are thinking too hard about age of actor and what age they portray. Pattinson is however old he is, but throw on some make up and he’s playing whatever age you want him to play over 30.

This isn’t some problematic situation like age gaps with relationships or anything lol

Rob also barely looks any older than he did when he was cast in 2019. Granted, parenthood might kick that aging into high gear soon enough, but idk…

so, by that same logic
if a mid 30s actor is cast should they be aged up with make up

Gunn pretty plainly pointed out that he wanted his Superman and Lex to be contemporaries in casting Corenswet and Hoult (only four years apart).

Given what an important duo Superman and Batman are, I have to imagine it’ll be the same for these two. Bats being 10-15 years his senior would feel odd.

Daddy and twunk relationships happen. :o

A few more casting ideas I’ve been pondering…

Billie Piper: Maxima

Jason Clarke: Brainiac

Olivia Cooke: Artemis

Hannah Einbinder: Barbara Gordon

I was reading the Bruce Wayne TV pilot script and Selina in that is very much described as having features that make her look like a young Rosario Dawson.
Had to look this up, that looked promising! Shame it was scrapped.

I loved Gotham S01 but unfortunately, the quality decreased over the years.

Why are we still trying to make Olivia Cook happen?
