The Avengers Cast the Skrulls!

Something I believe hasn't been talked about, who would you cast as the Main Skrull/Skrulls in The Avengers? Assuming 2 things....

A. They will be in the Avengers

B. They will be actual main characters/villains in the film, instead of side villains to Loki

I'm one of the ones who isn't rooting for the Skrulls to be in this. The film doesn't need a huge alien armada invading earth, with the heroes going toe-to-toe in a huge mega-fight. This is exactly the kind of thing that *doesn't* interest the general public. I think in their minds, big alien-army-fight = little to no plot needed. Not that I necessarily agree, but I'd rather see a threat coming from one or two characters.

I know Loki will be in it, and we know the cosmic cube is there, but as far as if anyone else will show - who knows? I do hope there's at least one more bad guy.

Also regarding the Plot Tricon, If the Skrulls get characterization and have an impact on the story, I think the GA would be able to buy it, Kind of like the Frost Giants in Thor, also it Gives Shield something to do apart from the Avengers I want to see a huge Skrull/Shield aerial battle ships flying all over the place maybe Thor and IM also Hulk Jumping from ship to Ship destroying everything in his path.....

The possibilities are endless! Coulson turning out to be Captain Marvel....ok that's too much lol

I really feel like skrulls is just a bad idea for the Avengers, if there is anything the film market is overcrowded with right now its alien movies and superhero movies, and now were talking about just putting them together and it seems like a bad idea. I could be completely wrong, but i guess I'm just afraid the GA will see this film being marketed right after a year with Thor, CA, GL, XmenFC, and also Skyline, Super 8, Battle Los Angeles, Transformers3(the more I see of it the more I'm convinced it just an alien invasion and no actual transformers), and Cowboys and Aliens. I'm not saying these movies were bad or good, I'll let them stand on their own merit, I'm just nervous these genres are going to get boring fast in the eyes of the GA. Again I could be 100% wrong.

@ Wade Garrett. Yes and no. If u think of any action movie especialy scifi, they are not much different then a superhero movie. In fact the only difference is a costume. Robocop, Neo from the Matrix, Luke Skywalker, the list goes on and on. All Super Heroes just they dont flat out say it. This is a formula that Hollywood has been using for decades its just within the past 11 years we have added costumes to this formula. And Aliens have been big forever. Think back on all the Alien films. Like the original War of the Worlds and Day the earth stood still. Same thing this continues on and on its just ur noticing the more recent ones and forgetting about how many have come before. Somethings do come and go and u may be right after decades of following this formula they may need to change it up again soon, who knows.
