Shadow, is there any word on Roger? A measely cameo in the first film does not suffice.

I agree, but Mike and GDT found Roger's creation was very similar to HB's so they didn't want to go that route again. I believe that they did try to write the movie with Roger in it, but it just wasn't working out and then in one night they wrote up this movie.

Just started reading HB comics so i'm looking forward to this more than ever, i read Conquerer Worm and thought it was fantastic though so i'm a bit gutted this will be a whole new story.

I like the fact that they're going with a whole new story. Why would I want to watch what I've already read? I know how the thing is going to end and that just ruins it for me. So give me something I haven't seen before and I'm a happy camper. Oh, and I'm really looking forward to see what a fragglewump is.t:

occasional Campbell Live reporter Belinda Henley managed to score an acting role on a big-budget Hollywood movie. How? By insulting the casting director.

"I told him (the actors) weren't that great and the script wasn't quite right," she says. A month later she got a call - she'd landed a part on Guillermo Del Toro's Hellboy 2.

"I have never been so terrified in all my life. It was way more scary than giving birth. I personally think it will be an absolute miracle if I make it into the final cut."

Well, Doug told me that the script was absolutely delicious, so I suppose one's six and the other's half a dozen really. She also said the actors weren't that great, and we all know Ron was born to play Hellboy, only Doug Jones could play Abe and John Hurt is ... well, John Hurt, for goodness sake. He IS Trevor Bruttenholm. t:

Was she a character in the comics? I'm really behind there.

I said Hellboy's mama, because being strung up on a giant fishook just as you were about to get into Heaven couldn't have been too pleasant. Looked quite painful. And Hellboy's papa wasn't exactly a small demon. wink, nudge, wink.

thats one thing that I'm really worried about, I'm not saying that I loved the character or anything but he was a huge part of the first movie. I think that it's going to be very akward to just explain him away...it always is.

Maybe i am getting mixed up between her and the Baba Yaga then, i remember the old woman from WTD who seemed to be Rasputin's mother/mentor, is she not the Baba Yaga?
