yea hopefully thats the plan. I still wonder why they didnt go with norman's vo to do goblin also.
I'm not bad that they are going with a different voice for Goblin. It's probably because he might not have been able to do a great Green Goblin voice.yea hopefully thats the plan. I still wonder why they didnt go with norman's vo to do goblin also.
Yeah, lol.possible who knows, unless someone posts that question in greg's blog to get official answer lol.
Yeah, I watched that trailer. I'll have to watch it again to hear his voice though.yup but as u said and i agree its not much of a big deal for a different person to voice goblin since it works for the character to have a different sounding voice when he is goblin and when he is norman and all that. I hope he does a good job with the character. He is logan in the upcoming xmen toon right, i have seen the trailer for that show and thought he sounded great as logan/wolverine.
Yeah, I'll look it up.yea its hard to find since its been pulled off alot of sites due to them illegally using a foo fighters song in the trailer and foo fighters dudes were mad about it. U can probably find it somewhere.
I'm dying to see him in action! And I believe finally the Goblin will get the respect he deserves, after that shameful fiasco in the film. Sam Raimi should look at this show and realize how devoted fans and creators are visualizing our favorite characters.
I completely agree and very well said, Kal-El 8!WTF are you complaing about ? I thought Willem DeFoe was simply
magnificent as The Green Goblin in the first movie . He nailed the part dead on target Raimi remained faithful to the comic in a realistic fashion . Compared to outright abomination protraly by Julian McMahon as Victor Von Doom / Doctor Doom in the Fantastic Four series . You should be a little more greatful that at least Raimi's Goblin was at least worthy menacing advisory for Spider-Man like he is in the mythology. Unlike Story's Dr. Doom in the FF series .

The only reason Raimi redesgined the goblin's outfit into a battle suit outfit was because realisticly the original comic book outfit would look pretty sily (almost campy on screen)

Very true, and I think that maybe will get a homage in this show. I mean, not in the upcoming episode, but maybe in the 2nd or 3rd season.
I mean look at this we got a homage to this issue in the movie. We got an epic Good vs. Evil showdown battle .![]()
What exactly makes him a fan favorite, in your opinion?Raimi understans spidey, he did the best he could with the knowledge he has from the Golden & Silver era in the comics.
His casting of the Villain was spot on (with the exseption of Venom , I"ll get to that)
Norman Osborn / Green Goblin - Willem Dafoe
Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus - Alfred Molina
Flint Marko / Sandman - Thomas Haden Church
Harry Osborn / New Goblin - James Franco
Now Venom (Raimi didn't quite get it , but that's because he doesn't know the
character or what make's him such a fan favorite . So he did the best he could with what he knew using Ultimate Spider-Man as his main source . with a bit of things from 616 . And The 90's animated series .) But even thought Venom didn't get the proper treament that Gobby & Doc Ock got. He still awesome eye candy on screen .
What exactly makes him a fan favorite, in your opinion?
And that wasn't in the movie?Venom basically is Bane in the spidey mythology . Brock's a pumped up nut out for revenge . Who's got a badass costume and can do everything spidey can do only better .

Oh but that picture, at the bottom, is ridiculous. That's just some fan in a homemade costume. You can't compare that costume with a costume produced by a billion-budget film. Spider-Man didn't look stupid and yet he did wore a spandex costume. Dafoe really brought the character of Norman Osborn to perfection, but when he wore the costume he looked stupid, especially when his eye lids opened and his mouth was visible. Dafoe more resembled a Goblin when he didn't ware that costume. His acting was superb, but that can't be shown by showing his eyes, that was stupid. A really capable actors show their talents and make their characters through their voice and oral capabilities, like Edward Norton as King Baldwin in "Kingdom of Heaven" or Hugo Weaving in "V for vendetta". I blame the designers that came with that awful idea and more I hate Raimi for accepting and encouraging it. I can't even compare anything with the Fantastic Four film, because that film doesn't deserve my attention, yet Spider-Man proved that it can achieve some greatness with the sequel, whereas Fantastic Four sank even lower with it's sequel.
Goblin would have perfectly worked if his mask was designed by WETA, the Orcs in The Lord of the Rings were more than realistic even though they wore masks, it can be achieved. Give the film more darker elements and that Goblin would have fitted perfectly and stay true to his character. He is a Goblin after all, not a cyber-ninja in a shiny green suit.
Yeah, that's what it's called.Actually, that's not a fanmade suit. It's from some musical thing a few years back at Universal, Spider-Man Rocks, I believe it was called.
Yes, there's a thread on it in the Spidey-World section.this has nothing to do with THIS but anybody seen this:
