XMA ftw. Jesus, Sony is screwed.

I'm excited too, but one thing I don't understand. Can the games we make with the XNA be as detailed and beautiful as other 360 games? I don't want to pay $100/year for Homebrew games.

Most games will be Arcade level work... Simply because of the time, effort and still the cost of developing anything bigger.

Thats not to say they wont be any goood.

Cool, I was just curious. I don't want to get my hopes up.

'XNA' IS JUST THE PLATFORM DEVELOPMENT BACKBONE.......YOU'D STILL HAVE TO UTILIZE YOUR OWN ENGINE, OR BUY THE RIGHTS TO AN EXISTING ONE (YOU'RE NOT GOING TO MAKE A GAME THAT LOOKS LIKE 'GEARS' FOR $100)
THINK OF THE $100/YR. AS A LICENSING FEE, LIKE YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR USING MULTIPLE COPIES OF THEIR WINDOWS OS.

Can be? Yes, absolutely. Will be? Not in a million years. Indie developers don't have the man power, the experience, or the budget to give you the type of visuals the bigger studios can.
