In an effort to curb spam to a degree, the staff has been working on ideas, one of which was presented a while ago, and has made it's way back onto the table, and been implemented. From this point on, promotions will be earned not only through a certain post count, but a period of time as well. This method makes it so that oldbies who frequent the board only every so often due to kids or family aren't penalized, while the newbie who posts whatever wherever gets rewarded for not thinking before posting.
The following is the new list of forum user ranks, and how to obtain them.
What this might mean to you:
For a short while, everyone will be reset to the new usergroups. While that's happening, there MIGHT be a change in what you can or can't do in your userCP. If this happens, just wait it out--the board updates itself every half hour.
If you get a message saying your PM box is full, again, just wait it out, because you're being reset into the new usergroup. I've changed no PM box limits, so once you're into the group you belong in, you will be back to the percentage you were before the change [unless you fit a different group than you did before, in which case there will be a change].

- Level 1--New User, Threads Availible--2 posts
- Level 2--Custom Title--1 Week
- Level 3--Signature--2 Weeks and 100 posts
