Charlie Wilson's War

no country for old men... are you serious? i read the book and enjoyed it, but even i can tell when something is hollow as hell.

before the devil knows you're dead/michael clayton is my vote for 'front runner' but oscars are stupid anyway.

and this movie looks pretty interesting.

That movie will certainly get a number of nominations

Poster looks awful, but it won't effect on my decision to go to see this film.

Saw the trailer tonight...I was amused but that the keetch may backfire. But I like the cast and love the director so I'll go in with an open mind, it should at least entertain and I know the buzz is phenomenal for it so...

I'm sorry but...Tom Hanks sucks. This movie would be excellent without Tom Hanks. :o

OM PURI is in this film??? KICK ASS

Not many know about him but he's considered one if not the best character actor in India alongside Naseerudin Shah... The man is an absolute delight to watch and by far one of the best actors walking the face of the Earth.

ha yeah Om Puri's got a big role...awesomeness

I saw the preview with American Gangster. Looks great. But I agree with Crowe, advertising it as a comedy could blow up in their faces.

I finally caught it yesterday. It was pretty damn good. It was nothing like the previews led you to believe (a comedy) but it didn't really matter. The acting was masterful, easily the best part of the movie. I felt the ending was a bit anti-climactic, but that was perhaps, the point. Though I do find that most Tom Hanks movies as of late have anti-climactic endings. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Yeah, the movie was really good...and it did happen to have quite a lot of comedic moments in it.

It did, it had several funny moments and hillarious lines. But it wasn't the comedy that the trailers seemed to imply.

I was going to wait for this to hit DVD, but caught a viewing with my Aunt instead. I loved it, surprisingly had a lot of funny character beats. Philip Seymour Hoffman stole every scene he was in.

Solid movie, I dug the ending quote.
Amy Adams = dazzlingly beautiful.
