Anyone been reading?

I bought the first 2 issues yesterday. Want to get the latest two tomorrow. It's great. Utterly bonkers, but a whole load of fun.

i love the style and idea, but i read the first two issues and i think it just wasn't what i was expecting. might stick with it a bit longer though.

I saw the preview for it on the backs of several Image comics, and it definitely got my attention and looked like it would have a lot of dark humor. I haven't read it, though. Didn't even know that it was out yet, actually.

Yeah, I think it's up to like issue 4 or 5

I like the first couple of issues as well, just not sure how they are going to continue a story line with this character very long. It is dark and entertaining, but once the "Tasters Choice" line goes, i saw in Previews they have more issues planned. Guess its worth sticking it out and see how they turn out. Hoping for good things...

Plan on following this through trades (since shops are already asking way too much for the first printing of issue 1 and 2). The story so far has been well written and drawn. Hope this sticks around for a few years so this chickenless universe developes.

Good thing this was bumped, because I just got issues 1-5. Loving it so far.

I recently picked up the five issues and loved them all. I'm definitely on board for this.

Really enjoyed reading the first issue yesterday. I'll definitely will pick up the rest of the five issues later today

Nice. Issue 6 comes out Wednesday along with the first 5 issues collected in a trade. Something to look forward to getting.

Chew #7 Preview

She's a covert operative for the United States Department of Agriculture, and one its most lethal assassins. She has the equivalent of black belts in four different disciplines of martial arts hand-to-hand combat and is equally deadly with swords, throwing knifes, sniper rifles and handguns.

She'll make a corpse out of anybody who tries to stand between her and completion of her current assignment—and that includes that nosy F.D.A. agent with the creepy cibopath power, Tony Chu!

Warning: There's some naughty language in the preview...

“JUST DESSERTS,” Part One
A few months ago an intact mastodon was discovered encased in a glacier in Siberia. A few weeks ago the lab doing DNA sequencing on the prehistoric creature mysteriously burned to the ground. And a few days ago, Special Agent Tony Chu discovered an exclusive diner’s club of the very, very rich who commit crimes in order to procure the meat of the rare, exotic and extinct. Tonight is their annual dinner. Guess who’s coming to dinner to stop them?

I've been reading Chew from the beginning, Most of the time I read it i the car after I buy it. The first arch was really good, the second seems to be going good. Can't wait to see how the series unfolds.

I saw the trade at Borders and read through the first couple of pages. I absolutely loved the concept and now that I see it's rather well liked, I'm gonna go back and pick it up.

It is definitely worth buying. Looking forward to the International Flavor trade.

LOVINNGGG Chew! I only have 4 monthly comics on my pull list and Chew is one of them (I like trades over monthly books). I couldn't wait to review the book with my video podcast co-hosts! We finally did and the episode is online today. There are 4 of us on the show, and sorry to spoil it a little, but 1 of us actually didn't care for it. Oh well, everyone can't like everything.

BTW, Can anyone think of any other books that would be... similar to Chew?

Yeah, that was not a happy moment.

No idea, but now I can't wait for that vampire piece of **** to get his.
