Yeah, the whole "a story about the story that this other story was about" is kind of a turn off for me, tbh.I feel if it was actually called Moby Dick it would get more interest.
Moby Dick: Origins.
It's hard to tell if this will do any good, or if it'll get cannibalized by the competition.

I see it getting solid reviews from most critics but under-performing at the box office. I'm not hoping that it does but I just believe that it will. I just don't see people being that interested in the subject and it doesn't have an A-lister to make it look more interesting. Again, I hope that I am wrong. It's hard to tell if this will do any good, or if it'll get cannibalized by the competition.
am I the only one looking forward to this movie?
i'm a softie for seafaring tales

I'm very much looking forward to this. I'm preparing myself to be the only one in the theater though.

Maybe they should have gone the Precious: Based on the Novel Push By Sapphire route, because if that film wasn't called Precious: Based on the Novel Push By Sapphire, then you might not know that Precious: Based on the Novel Push By Sapphire was based on the novel Push by Sapphire.
So this film could have been called In the Heart of The Sea: The True Story that the Novel Moby Dick By Herman Melville Was Based On.
