They should've kept the movie where it belonged: In the Spring. I still don't understand why they moved it, and they chose to move it right before Star Wars.
He needs a hit outside of Thor. I think The Huntsman: Winter's War being a hit is more important.Another flop for Hemsworth.
He can't seem to hit success outside of "Thor" and the Marvel era.
Ragnarok better be a hit.
I don't get Howard as a director. It seemed like he was in the same league as Spielberg and Zemeckis back in the day, and now he's the most unreliable director in the biz. He'll do a great movie once in a while, but then the rest is just..meh at best.
That's why I'm happy he's not doing The Dark Tower.
Maybe something colourful and weird like The Dark Tower would have been just what he needed to get his juices flowing.
Honestly, I wouldn't risk it on him. I'm actually interested in what this other guy will do with the franchise.
How would you have felt if he did The Phantom Menace?
Jar Jar still would've existed, quality would remain the same.
Even with a great premise and excellent marketing I think Hemsworth's issue outside of Thor is that he looks like a Greek god so it's hard for people to buy him in semi regular guy roles. That's a hurdle that he is going to have to get over. It's not impossible for him to but he's going to have to do really well in a role where he isn't the hot dude.Seeing Thor being the Marvel franchise with the least oomph, Blackhat failing completely, Rush being nothing to write home about and now this... is it time for Hollywood to reconsider Hemsworth as a leading man? He's charming and likable and hot, but something just isn't working here. Maybe this is why he's being put in comedy roles.
Man, Hemsworth hasn't had a good year.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

In the Heart of the Sea
2016 is going to be even rougher with The Huntsman and probably Ghostbusters.
I disagree. Pratt out-charisma's Hemsworth by a galaxy. Pratt's also naturally funny and likable and this really comes across in most of his interviews. [YT]hABw4xz0iMs[/YT]Hemsoworth has about as much charisma as Pratt, they both can self deprecate, don't take **** too serious, yet the latter became the media darling. I think going the comedic hero route may be the best route for Chris.
The marketing for this film was weird.
I'm quite convinced most people thought this film was supposed to be an actual adaption of Moby Dick.
