^^ Comics are different than film. Besides, over time in the comics, Harry had become about as much important as JJJ or Aunt May. He may not be there every issue, but he's defenitely a major supporting character.

Harry should definitely be here. I think for a film, he is an essential character to have. Peter needs someone to talk to other than Aunt May and Gwen. You need a male in there too. Not for the sake of it, but Harry's a big part of Peter's character.
