Comics Civil War Kills The Marvel Universe

As well please make sure your editor doesn't publically humiliate someone like Dan Slott over lateness, and than have the audactiy to announce that Millar and McNevien need more time the exact same day.

>:( What'd they say about the Slott? I didn't see that. >:(

Anyway, this is irksome, but it won't stop me from buying the rest of the books. Like Shin and some others have said, the blame lies solely with the higher-ups at Marvel. They were so eager to get those first issues out in time to label it "Marvel's Big Summer Event" that McNiven didn't have the adequate time necessary to be pumping out that gorgeous artwork in a way that would mean each issue being on time.

Oh well.

It really don't bother me too much. If they need an extra month to make CW#4 up to snuff, then so be it.

And as far as all the related titles getting pushed back a month, too, I say that's a good thing. How many people have complained we saw the heroes reactions to the big events of CW in the regular titles, before we saw the actual events in the CW book? I know *I* was annoyed when we saw the news of Spidey revealing himself in the pages of, what, Thunderbolts and...something else...before CW#3 came out.

We all KNOW something big is going to happen in #4, apparently a death. I do not want to be spoiled on this event before I read it myself in the issue. If delaying the other titles for a month, too, is what's required to not ruin the main story, then so be it, IMO.

Heck, I could use the month's extra $ anyway :p

not really that disappointed as it now gives me time to catch up with some of the tie-ins that are still sitting on my desk.

i am a bit disappointed in CW #4 not coming out on time, was really waiting for that one.

quick question, is Black Panther Civil War tie in going to run from issue 18-25 now? i only had #18 as the only tie-in and now in that article they mention adding 23-25. what happened to 19-22?

Aloha,
There is nothing on the Civil War checklist that includes the Black Panther except for #18. I don't think that's going to remain simply because there are too many heroes who are thinking about staying in Wakanda to live-like Luke Cage. Time will tell. As far as #19-22,The Panther and Storm are on their Honeymoon-Latveria in #19.
Spidey rules except in Wakanda

I don't trust these delays... *thinks of the evil that men do...* They usually end up making the story craptacular... but a DELAY in the middle of this big-ass event could mean DOOM... It messes everything up... I thought that Marvel would've learned something from Kevin Smith's lateness... Did he even finish that DD story?

Nope. Daredevil: The Target is still stuck waiting on issue #2.

Come to think of it, isn't Daredevil: Father still waiting on it's last issue? Soes anyone even care? I read the first issue and was damn near bored to tears.
