Harlekin said:That's not Quasar symbol. His symbol resembles that of Mar-Vell but it is different. What's on the cover is the actual Mar-Vell symbol. Of course, it could be Quasar returning AS Captain Marvel, but it'll probably be Mar-Vell, which would just be a really idiotic move.
GNR4Life said:Anybody notice how since that DB dude touched Mjolnir and shot up in the sky back in FF #538,Reed hasn't even addressed it?
Mjolnir comes crashing down to earth, then disappears and none of them are worried?
Because they don't know who or what took Mjolnir and Reed and crew just messed up with a Thor clone. I'd be worried too.supermarvelman said:Why would anybody be worried? Like I said before, Thor might EVENTUALLY come to midgard to **** up Clor, but right know, he's concerned about Asgard, last time he was alive he was involved in Ragnorak. Civil War and Clor, are not his concern at the moment.
Mar-Vell's death is pretty much universally regarded as one of the best deaths of Marvel, and has really stepped up to the plate of "characters that'll never be back, like Uncle Ben and Bucky". That category pretty much only populates him, the original Thunderbird and Gwen Stacy these days, and it'd be idiotic to mess that up even more.supermarvelman said:Why would it be idiotic. Yea Quasars sybmol is just similar. Either way Quasar is a non factor, it's not him, forget I even brought him up, he's returning but in Annihilation.
Apparently Bucky never really died (sigh)Harlekin said:Because they don't know who or what took Mjolnir and Reed and crew just messed up with a Thor clone. I'd be worried too.

I see what your saying, but I think Reed is smart enough to realize that out of thousands of people trying to pick up Mjolnir, whoever picked it up was obviously worthy enough to pick it up. Or that could be part of the reason they created Clor, something wrong happened with Mjolnir and the real Thor.

I see what your saying again, but personally I would like to see him return.

Harlekin said:Heh, it's exactly the reason why I don't want him to come back. A nice character, but his legacy is out there already. It's their time now. Still, you make a good argument. It'd be interesting, that's for sure.
Harlekin said:His view on current happenings however, and how his offspring have been busy however would be.

Harlekin said:Exactly, which is why this should get a little more time to get it right, rather than bring him back. Heck, that's the whole power of it with guys like Genis, who can never really live up to his dad. I'd rather they bring back Genis than Marv.
Whirlysplat said:He was an incredibly generic character and not very interesting.

supermarvelman said:Thats true he was kinda generic, but thats another reason to bring him back. He died a generic character with tragic death, infront of the superhero community, it seems like more people remember his death than his actual time as a superhero. So if they bring him back they can actually develop Mar-Vell, with everything going on with his lineage he wont be so generic.

Whirlysplat said:The point was made though that no matter what powers the heroes had some things they could not affect like the "big C" Abnormal accelerated growth also called Cancer. He should stay dead.

A good time to bring Marv-el back.... how about NEVERsupermarvelman said:Exactly people know him because he was the hero that died of cancer, it was a good point to make, but thats what he's remembered for, so bring him back. Annihilation has really boosted the popularity of Marvel's Cosmic Universe, it's a good time to bring him back.
