Somebody sold me a "slightly damaged" Batman Black and White Joe Kubert, and it turned out to be a major fixer upper.

One of the ears fell off, one of the gauntlet pieces fell off, and the cape is completely detached.

I'm trying to be optimistic, and that this'll be my new project, but I don't know what materials to use to fix it.

Any ideas?

sounds like
1-super glue the ear on
2-super glue the gauntlet on
3-super glue the cape on
maybe im mis reading but this sounds like "minor damage"

Yay! LOL...Super Glue man!!! But yeah....Sounds minor to me too. ;)

Yeah, but I need to know exactly what sort of bonding agent to use.

Super glue has fumes that will burn off the finish and cause discoloration. I need products here, please.

Try going to the thefwoosh.com and go into the Custom Shop Talk part of the forum, someone should be able to help you there.

if you apply the supper glue to the "broken part" and not the outside of it or the edges,no discoloration will happen
i do it all the time

Recently my wife broke .. my jim carrey riddler statue ....arm broke at the elbow ....... and the hand came off

So I had to tap holes in everything, insert small rods, epoxy glue the pieces, and trim out with some apoxy sculpt to fill in the cracks ..... and repaint ..............

It's now better then before.

Some items you need just glue some .......take more effort

There's a product all the modelers and miniatures players at Emerald City swear by, it's called Zap a Gap.

thats me!

Just glue and then fill in any small gaps with apoxie and sand when dry. Then paint the area and wala!

Agreed. I got the Bowen Green Goblin mini bust years ago, and one of the bat wings on the glider broke off...i super-glued it back on, and you can't even tell it was ever broken.

Out of curiosity, why would you buy a broken statue anyway? I've wanted many statues and action figures, but never did it cross my mind to buy a broken one.

"Who cares if it's broken? At least I have one and I can always glue it." Is that the thought process?
