Magneto is a genius in his own right; Doom may be smarter overall but that doesn't change the fact that if Magneto can prevent Superman (infinitely more powerful than Doom and possessed of "superhuman intelligence") from getting to him, then Doom doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell.

As I understand it the magic that Doom bargained for is gone now leaving back at magical munchkin level. I have my doubts as to whether even Dr. Strange could put up a battle against Magneto in a direct fight let alone Doom. Sorcerers don't tend to do well against people with fast powerful attacks since it takes precious time to work the magic, time they don't get.

What's Magneto doing to do Strange? Throw metal at him? Unless that metal is silver and was used by Hitler to kill himself, I very much doubt it'd get anywhere near him.

They have also shown people tearing through his spur-of-the-moment shields like they were made of tissue paper. Although I don't remember the issue number or the characters name, the old master of kiai-jutsu comes to mind. Strange was recklessly throwing up shields and expending energy just to stay alive from instant to instant.

Well, yeah, but Magneto's showings have fluctuated over the years as well. Based on potential, I'd still be confident of Strange taking Mags.

I can't recall anything ever breaching Magneto's shields though. He's stood up to Phoenix, Thor, and other heavyweights even in combination without his shields giving out.

Clearly, they're not that great since he's gotten his ass kicked time and again by the X-Men. I think the Avengers beat him a few times, too. Thor, I know, beat him by himself at one point. Mjolnir just absorbed all of the magnetic energy he was manipulating.

That was pre-rebirth Magneto too. Magneto also toyed with The Avengers and the Fantastic Four at the same time. That included Thor as well. It was also pre-rebirth too although I am not certain. On a couple of occasions he simply toyed with Thor like he was a lightweight.

If you read the Doom graphic Novel where he battled with the various mystics he kicked ass with the best in the world before he won the fight... so I would hardly say he is a munchkin. He has maintained at least that power level which was good enough to defeat Dr. Strange and win the title of mystic supreme (or something like that ) ... so Doom has some significant skills without the powers he had as Sorcerer Supreme (still think of Taco Bell no matter what he was called)

As for Thanos ... yes ... Old school badassery abounds!

That's the one. Doom had quite a bit of knowledge heading into that fight from his years of training with the "mountain" people (I forget what they were called) and although he did lose his power from the Vishanti, he should still have those abilities which were pretty formidable.

So! Doom, Thanos and Darkseid Victorious!
