Cop killer on the run calls out to celebs

Which they will to the best of their ability. But if he continues shooting, and others are hit in the crossfire and/or he's using them as human shields...that's on him. Sometimes hostage situations reach an impasse, and the unfortunate has to happen.

Well, that's the ultimate argument point. There have been plenty of events throughout history where needless civilian lives have been lost due to law enforcement not performing to the best of their abilities (due to whatever circumstances), and also times when they did and lives have been lost either way.

Hopefully this is neither and no civilian lives are lost. But if they are, I really hope they truly were unavoidable.

Good job it's the USA and not Russia. It would have been over hours ago, civilians or no civilians.

Sheriff has asked all members of the press to stop tweeting about the situation.

One of the officers that was shot today passed away

"CNN" said:
One of the law enforcement officers hurt in today's shootout has died, CNN affiliates and the Los Angeles Times have reported. We're awaiting a news conference at the medical center.

Sad news.

One of the policemen in the shootout today died. Another murder.

He's officially a cop killer now. He won't likely survive this encounter.

They are checking outbound vehicles for the suspect.

I wonder if they will postpone the State of the Union for this.

I was planning to apply sb country sheriff but I'm.going to rethink it

If he does it will only be because of PR. Probably why they are trying to black out the media, so they can kill him and then report what they want.

If he doesn't give up, it may just have to come to that.

Something may have happened... some of the highways are reopening.

Why would that be?

I can relate to the racism and corruption dude talking about. I have work in a state facility the past six years and I've seen it firsthand

Does that justify murder?

Never I said I did. Point I'm making is I can see his frustration

Everyone can. But he lost the right to sympathy or 'feeling his pain' over it when he decided to kill someone because of it. So it's no longer his frustration. Racism and corruption is bad, especially in a police department. We don't need a murderer to remind us of it. If anythign, it makes anything he says less credible.

SWAT moving in. Smoke billowing out.

Seeing some pretty silly facebook picture posts comparing how other mass killers had fair trials and that he's not because he's black. It's like, really? Really? They even tried to compare how the Aurora shooter has been given a fair trial sp far. Geez, *completely* different situations and circumstances. Now I find it almost a positive that this situation is exposing the corruption of the LAPD but people are dying and if this dude was white, and sending a manifesto to a news outlet, etc, there wouldn't be much different at all, especially if it was made clear that this guy won't go quietly, and also that he know... keeps firing guns at police officers.

Apparently the cabin is engulfed in flames.
