Best way would probably be through dental records if no usable soft tissue remain. Also, could use bone marrow if that's still intact. To anyone who is actually knowledgeable in forensic science; if the place burns down to the ground, what are the chances they'd still be able to identify him through skeletal remains?
Nothing yet. Lots of media presuming he died in fire.
If he lives through this and escapes I'd be oddly impressed. Not that I agree with what he's done. But if he's caught, a week from now they'll be a conspiracy video in YouTube
Authorities asked them specifically not to go to the site. Not a fire truck in sight. Dudes took the day off I guess.

CNN said:At some point today, a suspect tried to get out the back door of the cabin, but he was pushed back inside, U.S. Marshals Service district chief Kurt Ellingson told CNN's Brian Todd.
We're still waiting for details about the fire at the cabin, which began about an hour ago.
I was on the phone.
Did they get him/did he burn?
Uncertain... someone tried to get out the back door of the cabin but was "pushed back inside" according to CNN.
Probably him, I know about that...I'm wondering if he's dead.
CBSLA said:The cabin quadruple-murder suspect Christopher Dorner is believed to be holed up in is now fully engulfed in flames, according to CBS2′s Carter Evans, who also reported that tear gas was fired into the house before the fire broke out.
A shot was also fired around that time, and sources tell CBS2′s Juan Fernandez that tracks were found leading to a horse corral, which may mean Dorner was able to escape.
CNN said:Earlier, we reported that U.S. Marshals Service district chief Kurt Ellingson told us a suspect tried to get out the back door of the cabin at some point today and was pushed back inside. But there are now conflicting reports about whether the suspect ever emerged.
Ellingson says authorities are not sure whether the suspect came out.
