Corona and other diseases

Never has there ever been a better time for an older man to yell at strangers to stay off of his lawn.:hehe:

With proper caution hopefully he will be able to tend his yard. I know how important that kind of thing can be for retired and older people. My grandfather religiously tended his garden and the last few years of his life he built bird houses. He hated being cooped up inside all the time.
On one hand, he’ll kill everyone he can if he is forced to stay inside. On the other, he is an introvert and cheap, so he has little reason to leave. Even so, he gets bored and may go visit his girlfriend, who isnt that young either.

There is a nursing home in a five minute walk from where he lives. My wife’s grandmother is going there and they just had a Coronavirus case confirmed. (Actually I have an aunt there as well.) So yeah, that’s pretty close to home.

Trump says virus has 'passed the peak' in US

Is this really the case that it has passed the peak, or is Trump just lying so that he thinks by saying that he'll be justified in opening the economy again?

No way, at least not according to the graph of Covid-19 deaths by country that are used in the daily briefings by the UK government and it shows no sign yet whatsoever of slowing or peaking.
America is, sadly, leading the world...

Widespread testing in Iceland has indicated as many as half of infected people could be asymptomatic.

That one showed 90% of the women were asymptomatic.
Not just that but 14% of all the women tested had it.

We need those antigen tests.

Hmmmm.....weird. I've had a couple of weird dreams that sort of stuck with me. My mother has been feeling rather weak lately so I've been staying at her house instead of at home. This has necessitated splitting up the dogs between my house and my mom's. We trade them back and forth so they get to see each other and us.

Last night, I had a dream that I had a bunch of work to do (I'm working from home) and I was having a really hard time keeping track of where the dogs were. For some reason, I was working outside and I kept finding these open gates and the dogs kept getting out. I kept having to corral them and bring them back in. I just didn't feel like they were safe outside of the area I was working in. Part of my concern could be related to the fact that I saw 2 coyotes about a week or two ago (don't remember exactly when) not 30 feet from where my dogs were. I like to let them run around the front lawn off leash during the day, but don't do that anymore at night.

Another dream I had was probably related to my test for COVID 19 (Not COVID 18 or 17 or 1 LOL). I had this dream that they put this weird mark on my wrist after I tested negative. I needed this mark to be able to go anywhere. There were a series of marks they put on you after you took certain types of tests and those marks determined what you could and couldn't do.

That one creeped me out.

As always with these Republicans it is money over lives first.

I mean, you start seeing them a lot more when you get north, into the more rustic parts of the state. Which sounds so, so oxymoronic.
Emphasis on the "moronic."

"America first!" is one of Trump's slogans. He insists we're first at everything.

One conman hiring another conman to con the country. Sounds about Trump.

This thing is relentless. Until you get a vaccine you pretty much can't do anything normally.

That's not good. So it looks like people aren't immune to it even if they catch it once. So much for herd immunity. If it doesn't get you the first time, it will the second or third time round.

The good news is that typically the severity is less the 2nd time you get sick.

My issue is right now I decided to move into my parent's building next door to them that they own and I shop for them and what not so I have to not only try and avoid contact with two senior citizens, I also am the only one to help out as they have this weird thing about ordering groceries from strangers.
