Corona and other diseases

So my age group is eligible tomorrow for the vaccine but checking the websites today, there is nothing available (including Astra) for a month. I managed to find one place giving Pfizer about an hour outside of the city so I booked it.

I may have to lie a little about my eligibility.

Stay a little longer at the facility if you have to drive that far. Unlikely that you'll have a severe reaction, but I hear it's possible. My daughter and I live about 5 minutes from UCLA where we got ours and there were two of us, so we snuck out a little bit early. LOL

'Where's The Men At?': Anti-Masker Goes Viral for Failed One-Man 'Protest' in Costco

*sighs* Idiot

Ohio now has a stand your ground, I wonder if that happen at my Costco I could just shoot him? ;)

:funny:

The bottom line is that there are just going to be stupid people. It's a fact. Don't mistake ignorance for stupidity. I'm talking flat out stupid. Period. To the person heckling him about being short.....this moron is short on IQ points. The thing that cracks me up, and I'm sure the irony is lost on this idiot, is that the same people who are demanding their "freedom" are trying to usurp the freedom of others. You aren't "free" to endanger others by trying to force them to remove their mask or to infect others by not wearing one. If you want your freedom, go do something stupid that doesn't endanger others. Feel free to go Darwin Award on yourself. I don't care.

Got my first shot yesterday (Moderna). Started feeling crappy last night through to this morning-- aches and fatigue -- but over the last couple of hours or so ive been feeling much better. I hope my second dose isnt any worse.
How are you feeling today?

Good, if anything like mine you should be pretty much back to normal when you wake up tomorrow. Good luck

My son had a rough go of it after his first Moderna shot, with two days of headaches and vomiting. He felt perfectly fine after the second dose and here's hoping you have the same outcome.

We're required to hang around for half an hour haha.

I'm happy they updated the eligibility so now I don't have to lie about being pregnant :funny:

We snuck out after about 10 minutes. We figured there were two of us and both of us wouldn't get any symptoms.

I’m pumped, 2 weeks past 2nd dose as of this past Monday. Taking the 5 year old to the zoo with his best friend that he hasn’t seen for a year, still gonna mask up and all but it’s gonna be fun to do something that’s not virtual.

NY Magazine - The Families Torn Apart By Vaccine Politics

Lex was surprised by her sister’s intense reaction, even though she says her sister is “on the edge” of QAnon and “will say things like, ‘Masks are perpetuating human trafficking.’” Lex doesn’t anticipate making up with her sister anytime soon. “I can’t negotiate with someone who seems unwell and unable to have a rational conversation.”
“The thing that’s so ironic about it is that she thinks there’s some global elite trying to control us through the vaccine. But she won’t log off of Facebook, which we all know collects all of our data and uses it against us all the time.”

Your cell phone and facebook, you fools.

Okay so this is going to sound crazy. I got my Pfizer vaccine today and I barely felt it and I didn't get a bandaid afterwards. There is no redness or swelling at all, my arm doesn't hurt, I don't feel any bit sick or unwell and now I'm sort of worried that the pharmacist didn't do it right.

Did anyone else not get a bandaid?

I wouldn’t worry about the Band-Aid. That’s not gonna change anything and I wouldn’t worry about it. I had no effects whatsoever other than my shoulder got a little bit sore that night. That was it it’s not unusual. My wife, daughter, and mother all had basically the same reaction that I did.

Bandaid is usually optional to just cover where they stick you. Unless you bleed a lot it probably isn't necessary and mine did not hurt or feel sore until the next day. Every person is different and some feel no effects at all.
