1. Hopefully him being infected by two different strains doesn't pose problems for a potential vaccine, if it means (and this is just a theory) the different strain got around his body's immunity to the first strain.

2. Hopefully him being asymptomatic the second time means, as with many cases of reinfection with other viruses, the second time will be less severe.

Yeah, however Covid-19 is not like any other human coronaviruses like SAR (Avian flu) for example which was restricted to localised area like Toronto, Canada where about 40-50 people died and quarantine enforced. Scientists have said that Covid-19 "acts like no pathogen humanity has ever seen”. My impression is that they're mostly clueless on how to approach this problem, made worst by high infection rate that turned into a world wide pandemic within matter of months.

It's a grave implication IMO because it means that they're nowwhere near getting an effective vaccine. We need a vaccine (give the immune systems mean to fight the virus) as soon as possible because it's the only way of controlling & reducing the spread otherwise we will have to continue wearing mask, social distanting and avoiding large gathering in an enclosed room well into 2021/22. IMO, any vaccine will not be available until around the middle of 2021 at the latest. I used to work at a (non-biological) research lab, from experience any novel research will take more than a year to produce validated results.

I was having this thought the other day, and while I almost feel guilty for seeing this other side of the pandemic and I know I'm one of the more fortunate people who hasn't contracted it but I spent 4 months working from home and it allowed me to spend more time with my wife. Instead of getting home at 7 pm, I clocked out of work at 5 pm and we went for a walk in parks, beach, etc. But it seems like bad form to bring up, bright spots during the pandemic.

Just because Deborah Birx occasionally stands up, wipes her mouth, and brushes her knees off doesn't mean we forget all the time she's spent on them in front of Trump, and the CDC and FDA have sold out and allowed themselves to be pressured and bullied and politicized into giving out bad information to the public DURING A PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS.

They know anyone who's had close contact with a COVID-positive individual needs to be tested. They know it's crucial. But they're letting Trump bully them into saying it's not, because politically he just doesn't want to hear about it.
