My understanding is that with 2 vaccinations, one is about 40% protected from Omicron. With the 3rd booster it goes up to around 75%.

Is there no way to create monthly boosters? Having people wait 6+ months for boosters when dangerous variations and surges are happening at random seems extremely problematic.

Not as a necessity for all but an option for some. That way if a particularly nasty variant hits that the standard vaccine doesn't work well against people don't have to go through the surge with low protection.

Already done! Seriously that was about 10 minutes including getting there and queuing. My first one was an 8 hour walk there and back lol. Second was an hour.

Not as a necessity for all but an option for some. That way if a particularly nasty variant hits that the standard vaccine doesn't work well against people don't have to go through the surge with low protection.

If a variant is enough to break through the vaccine before 6 months, you are likely going to need to modify the vaccine more than just getting an extra dose. And as good as the mrna tech is, you will need more than a month to adapt. You are looking at a flu shot situation, where they guess at which strains will be dominant for a flu season.
