After the disappointing War of the Worlds remake, I really hope this holds up.

I want to see the aliens. Now.

With THREE of the most influential producers and one decent director it makes you wonder who had the most influence

Grazer?
Ron Howard?
Spielberg?

I sort of wish that J.J Abrams had directed this movie but at least he paired up with Spielberg for "Super 8"

From the title, I thought this was going to be campy. I like the suspense and scale of it; color me intrigued.

I enjoy Favreau's movies more when they maintain their mood, something Iron Man 2 had problems with. This reminds me more of the man who directed Iron Man.

i wonder if the masses will like this. i hope they will

This looks great.

Craig and Harrison both look in top grumpy form. Which is perfect for the genre's that are being melded in one.

Now this is a well made trailer that is perfect. Doesn't quite give much away and still keeps its overall story mysterious.

Visually it is looking beyond amazing. ILM (I think?) is working on this with a director who is well versed in the area of VFX/CGI/Animatronics which is more than evident with the work going on in this trailer. Impressive work in that department.

Fantastic.

you mean the animatronics from IM that got replaced with CGI? you mean when everyone at ILM knew that they would use CGI? :awesome:

I meant the various vfx studios he worked with in Zathura. Motion controlled robotic in other words animatronics.

If I'm not mistaken parts of Iron Monger as well as IM costume involved some sort of mixture of both.

Remember seeing this in a behind the scenes featturete of sorts.

only when Bridges is tanding next to the suit and in 2 close up shots. everything else CGI.

I'm aware of this.

Still doesn't refute the fact that Favreau has experience with working with practical effects including animatronics.

Obviously most of Iron Man effects lie in the realm of CGI this should go without saying.

Just got through seeing the teaser for this and two words immediately sprung to mind, "holy" and "s***". This looks nice. I mean, even in old Western times, any halfwit with a fraction of grey matter knows that you don't f*** with 007 or Indiana Jones and in this picture, you get BOTH OF THEM!! Favreau's batting average is certainly holding up well.

-so sayeth the mastermind-

Teaser looks great!
Almost too much for a teaser though, personally thought it could have been edited down a bit and still packed a punch.
I hope they keep the aliens as hidden as possible til release.

Cool trailer. I liked it's mystigue. We got the idea but I like how they didn't use too big of money shots.

But the big WTF was the people being pulled up by nothing. It still looked as if the wires were there.

Boy this was just what I needed after the GL trailer debacle. Favs is DA MAN! I'd take him over Nolan anyday.

Maybe they were being pulled up by tenacles ala' WotW? It was dark and as such, harder to see them.

Yeah I see the wire. Perhaps the aliens use something to snag people. I couldn't tell if the woman had something around her waist
