Mystery/Thriller Crawl

I am so there for this. It looks like a fun throwback to a lot of the creature features of the 90's that I use to love watching as a kid. I hope its this generations Anaconda lol.
Finally, someone else who likes Anaconda.

Saw the trailer earlier, it's a pretty cool concept for a creature feature and the director is a good fit with the material.

It's something different in the mainstream horror genre than another ghost film, another readaptation of a book previously filmed, another pointless remake like Poltergeist, another found footage film or another sequel/prequel/reboot/remake of an already dead franchise like Saw or Elm Street.

I'm all for something different and new as in the mainstream lately i love Get Out (despite it's a thriller than a horror film) and Quiet Place as those were box-office smashes and proving audiences do something different in the mainstream genre than those things i mentioned.

This could be it.

Love what I've seen. Bring it.
You glad it's something different in the mainstream horror genre like Get Out and Quiet Place than another pointless remake like Poltergeist, another readaptation of a book previously filmed, another ghost film, another found footage film and another remake/reboot/sequel/prequel/midquel to a dead horse franchise like Saw and Hellraiser?

Dafuq's happening here?? Paramount showed new footage/sneak peek at Cinemacon which was very well received by the crowd over there but it still hasn't made it's way online. The studio didn't even bother to officially upload it to their social media platforms or on YT. They are dumping this unceremoniously

Damn shame. Still excited for some creature feature action next week.

Wow Paramount must not be that confident in this movie's quality at all if this is how they are treating it which is a damn shame since we don't get many mid budget R-rated creature features anymore, and this one has looked really promising so far based on the trailers/tv spots. I'm still looking forward to seeing it next week, but I don't want to get my hopes up too much just to end up being dissapointed.

Loving these reviews and saw the trailer earlier like the look of this.

Got my tickets for tomorrow.. let’s see if the reactions are right ..

Probably gonna hit this on Saturday

Even though I loved Aja's High Tension and The Hills Have Eyes, I'm always take early reviews with a grain of salt, especially when it comes to horror. The Pet Sematary remake also had high praise when it was first screened and look at how that turned out.

Wasn’t it still fairly liked as far as horror remakes go?

I’ve been hooked since I saw a giant croc on poster. Just do your best to give me intense chases, cool deaths and like able characters and I’ll have a good time. Something that the Meg struck out on every at bat. I haven’t seen any trailers so going in blind. I do know it’s a major storm. So far so good.

Got my tickets for tonight, very excited for this!

Early reactions were raving about Pet Sematary but it really wasn't anything close to special.

Judging by the audience score on RT, I’d say no.

Yeah, but audience scores for horror films aren’t really much to go by. Especially those with dark endings. Even the recent critically acclaimed only usually muster a 60%.

Pretty excited for tonight. Still annoyed about Paramount dropping the embargo at the last second.
