Criterion Collection Thread

Criterion is really doing it’s damndest to fill the gaps in my Lynch viewing. I approve.

Itching for the next Barnes and Noble sale to start.

Right on cue…

A what?

Far be it for me to complain about another Scorsese film being anointed, but where is Near Dark dammit?? Y’all put it on the channel, now gimme a disc! :argh:

I'm looking forward to their treatment for Freaks. Want to see what special features they have planned for it.

I feel like one of the worst things about streaming delivering such a blow to physical media is that it’s now Criterion’s responsibility to do entries for stuff that practically just came out because that’s the only way they’ll get a physical release, and meanwhile that holds up the line for a ton of older, probably more deserving **** that might have gotten in already if physical media was still thriving. Like goddamn, why doesn’t Boogie Nights have a blu-ray/4K yet??

Never seen Bound before. This might change that.

A crazy ass collection with a crazy ass price tag. Sheesh.

I spent 185 on 9 films, so 400 for 40 during a half price sale is not that ridiculous.

Still wouldn't buy this, but not as bad as it could be.

400 is with the sale that was going on. It's around 650 normally.

If I didn’t already have that blu-ray, I’d be so tempted.

No Country For Old Men is going to be a must-have when the summer sale rolls around.

Welp, time for that upgrade.
