I've just purchased The Omen Pentology box set, which includes not only the 1973 and 2006 versions of The Omen, but The Omen II, The Omen III - which stars Sam Neill, yes indeed - and The Omen IV-! I didn't even know this final one existed. And it's probably ****.

Tomorrow I am compelled to buy The Psycho boxset, which includes the incredibly rare and surprsingly decent Psycho II, and then Psycho III which I've never even seen. Psycho IV is a woeful TV movie - but Perkins did appear in it.

I'm trying to find The Exorcist sequels, the first of which is supposed to be woeful and the second quite good.

I can tell you now that whoever told you Exorsist 2 was woefull was understating it.

Im Obsessed Halloween and Obsessed with Seeing the Cloverfield Monster

I liked Psycho 4. It was cool to have Norman go deeper in to his background.

I'm jealous. I grew up obessed with the Omen movies.

I absolutely adore Exorcist II: The Heretic

I understand everyone enjoys Blatty's film more, because of the pace and atmosphere and all that other jazz. However, I find something odd about The Heretic. Something almost hypnotic. It's like a car crash, you become so fixated by it, you can't turn away.

How are these little known sequels? I thought a good amount of people were aware of them. Oh, and yea, Psycho II wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but its still an unnecessary sequel.

i did this sort of thing with wishmaster and leprechaun . there is a new pumpkinhead out there , ive never seen any of those fims so im not sure if i'd be interested. also boogeyman 2 is coming out soon to dvd and it stars tobin bell.

You think? You think most people would know there are five Psycho movies, or five Omen movies? I doubt it.

Anyway, I just watched The Omen III (which isn't actualy called The Omen III at all, it's called The Final Conflict) and it's quite surprising. Surprising in the storyline it chooses, and surprising in that Sam Neill used to be quite a weak actor when he was younger.

Fianl Conflict was a weak movie IMO. It should have been more epic..IMO

They're little known to me. I had no clue Psycho and The Omen had multiple films. Were they dtv or theatrically released?

I think they are aware that there's sequels. They may not know how many but they there's sequels. Especially if you are old enough to have seen the trailers and what-not. Some of these movies were actually released in theaters! :wow:

If I'm not mistaken...Richard Donner was the executive producer on that movie.

Agreed, it should have been a worldwide thing. There seemed to be hardly anyone in the movie, London was empty. But the ending was powerful.

I didn't know about Omen 4...

I watched The Omen III, can't remember that much... is the one that ends with [BLACKOUT]Demian finding Jesus reborn not as a baby but an adult?[/BLACKOUT]

Kind of....he [blackout]stumbles onto the Second Coming[/blackout]. It's quite an ending, although the movie is really not epic enough as Blackbolt said.

Exorcist III was great IMO. Some real good scares, plus it had Patrick Ewing in it..:)

Yup. I really think that if E3 didn't have the Exorcist label on it, it would have been well liked as a stand alone movie.

I've only seen Exorcist III once, but isn't there supposed to be this VERY scary part in it? Not some pop-up, but I mean a hardcore scary part? I remember a poster talking about it a while back. The movie was definitely creepy, but I didn't remember any blatantly scary part in it.

Those were some of the scarier parts IMO

I jumped out of my seat at the nurse scene

Yeah, the nurse scene. That was the one scene that I remember the poster talking about. Thanks Dark Donnie.
