there are so many accidents similar to this, where one kills and video games are somehow related that is not surprising anymore.
but i do wonder, was it the game that made him do this, especially if it was a violet game, or maybe he had mental problems and the video game was just he's breaking point.

The first part of that "joke"/sentence has already been done. The second just makes you sound like a **** person.

Sheesh... I've heard this story on so many ocassions with different guys it's no longer even shocking. Christ, we really live in a world where fathers prioritize freakin' videogames over their childrens wellbeing...

Even if one has heard 100 stories like this over the course of five years, that is still a miniscule fraction of the total population of the world, or even the United States. And it's not like it's new, either. The details have changed, but things like this have been going on for all of human history. In fact, it probably happens less today than it did 50-60 years ago, we just hear about it more because our media outlets are more efficient.

Especially since he's only 19!!! Even if he serves the whole sentence, he's out at 46. I'm not for the death penalty, but lets beat the HELL out of this guy, and lock him in a tiny cell for the rest of his life.

What would that accomplish?

This is why teenagers shouldn't be allow to have kids. There needs to be legal parenting age.

That would be a terrible law. It would be impossible to enforce and would just result in people raising their children in secret, which puts them and their children at risk.

2. Keep him from fathering anymore children.
3. Prevent him from killing anymore defenseless innocent babies.

It seems like a very inefficient way of accomplishing those three goals. Especially the beating. It would take up a lot of energy and then the state would have to use medical recources to heal him after injuries that the state caused. And locking him up for the rest of his life would also be a drain on government resources. Odds are, the sentence he was given by the courts will at the very least accomplish goals 1 and 3, and it will ensure goal 2 for the next two and a half decades, and all much more efficiently than what you proposed.

Truthfully, I don't think this waste of flesh deserves to live. However, I'm against killing anyone, even if they are a criminal. But, I still see no reason why this guy should ever be allowed to see the light of day again. I don't want this guy to ever be able to make another child, and I sure as HELL don't want him anywhere near a child ever again.

If you're worried about the cost, then I say we throw him in an 8x8 concrete room, feed him ramen noodles, a multivitamin, and a glass of water every day, and never let the son of a ***** out. If he gets sick, it simply shortens his sentence.
