So I am a huge AOA fan, and I was reading the handbook for aoa, and when did this stuff about beast trying to kidnap prof and magneto occur? and then the refugees from aoa trying to kill him? Is it avalible in a trade? whats his current status?

and for that matter, does anyone know whatever happened to x man?

Last time I saw him was in Excalibur (the last volume, the one in Genosha)
that was when he was nearly killed by Sugar Man. I'm pretty sure it's in TPB.

I know X-Man died a while back. Sacrafice himself to save the planet. What a guy.

I don't think anything has been said about Dark Beast's status post M-Day. So we don't know whether he's still a mutant or not.

^I really hope he was depowered. I hope we dont see him anytime soon on the titles, to me the character was......blah.

Nope, he was confirmed to still be powered in the 198 files.

I hope AOA Apocalypse has somehow piggybacke into this reality and take this time to takeover D.Beasts' body and burns through it in a week.

He is still MIA, but the Excalibur run with him in it is in TPB form.

It was a great story for the short time Claremont wrote it.

How many issues DID AoA span???

There are like, 5 or 6 GIANT trades that claim to be linked to AoA, and that's annoying when some of them are add-ons.

EVERY X-Title became Age of Apocalypse for four months, plus the two book ends. So there's

Legion Quest (five issue crossover leading into AoA)

AoA X-Men: Alpha (begins the AoA)

4 issues each that bridge what happens between Alpha and Omega:
Weapon X (Wolverine)
Amazing X-Men (X-Men)
Astonishing X-Men (Uncanny X-Men)
X-Caliber (Excalibur)
X-Man (Cable)
Factor-X (X-Factor)
Gambit and the X-Ternals (X-Force)
Generation Next (Generation X)

AoA X-Men: Omega (ends the official AoA crossover)

these books also took place in the AoA:

Age of Apocalypse: The Chosen
Blink #1-4
Exiles #60-61
Tales of the Age of Apocalypse #1-2
X-Man #minus 1
X-Man Annual ‘96
X-Men Age of Apocalypse One-Shot
X-Universe #1-2

X-Men Age of Apocalypse #1-6 (recent. picks up immediately after the original AoA ended in X-Men: Omega)

according to the Marvel Chronology Project, Dark Beast hasn't been seen since X-Men #50, which was quite a few years ago

The MCP hasn't had an update in a while, IIRC. The Dark Beast last appeared in the Excalibur run by Claremont. The one in Genosha.

^^ Holy CRAP that is confusing! It's even WORSE than I remembered.
it's not that hard, you only NEED to read X-Men: Alpha and Omega. then you're free to read anything else to get more details about whatever characters or events interest you. But the key story is only in those two issues.

But the trades are the COMPLETE AoA

Wasnt that Dark Beast in Here Comes Tomorrow, Im confuzzled.

I kinda wish he had been depowered in M-Day too, but then acted as a foil to our Hank McCoy, almost as a tease.

Here Comes Tomorrow was Sublime or something in Beasts body

Anyway I think Dark Beast would be a great villain for the Exiles, if he were to take over the Crystal Palace of thiers.

Even better if he were De Powered and did that. Whoooooo

^There you go, what a good idea. Somebody get Dark Beast over there!

Dang......we gotta get Joe Q on the line.....

He's hard to get a hold of.

Not cause he's busy, but because he keeps thinking his phones are those candy phones and he eats them.....cause he's fat.

Dark Beast was last seen in the Excalibur Vol. 3 (1 being the main ongoing, 2 being the mini with Captain Britain). He showed up in I believe the second trade (since he asked for trades) that was called Saturday Night Fever. He was also in the third (and last) trade, which was the House Of M Prelude. That is the last time we saw him. I also loved Dark Beast and would love to see him back. And the Exiles idea was a great one!

You forgot X-Men Chronicles, which replaced X-Men Unlimited.

It was 616 Beast, also known as Our Original Hank, in Here Comes Tomorrow (infected by Sublime).

And I agree, Dark Beast would be fun in the Exiles. Skip Joe Q; let's just write to the editor of that book. (Who is it, anyway?)
