Did this ship yesterday (UK) as was advertised? My local comic shop didn't receive it! Curses!

If so, kindly post reviews, thoughts etc. Am a full-on Dark Tower junkie so i'm dying to read this!

Really interested in how this pans out too. Awesome books.

I'm pretty positive that here in the States, at least, that Dark Tower comes out this Wednesday. I'm not sure about the UK but I'd look for it this Wednesday if I were you.

I finally got my copy, and man, it was a great first issue, it set the tone, the characters, and gave a good bit of story. I'm really excited for the rest and definitely glad I picked up the first book (haven't read it yet though). Does anyone know if it will be strictly prequel or will it go between prequel and book?
If I had to complain about anything, it would be that the colors are a little too bright for me, I'm used to Jae Lee being very dark and moody, I think some of the mood is a little lost (compared to what I'm used to from Jae, with his very dark colors and emphasis on shadows) but I also think it opens the book up more, and allows the environment to take on more life.
I am really happy I grabbed this book. Let's hope it ships on time!

I believe that this miniseries is supposed to go between prequel and the actual stuff in the books. Because Peter David was talking to Wizard magazine about keeping King's dialogue word for word at certain parts of the book. So, yeah.

Enjoyed it. If it's successful, maybe King will attempt writing a Marvel character, which is potentially cool.

I read it, it was well written, beautiful art, but couldn't get behind the story. Just wasn't for me I guess.

Get into the Dark Tower! It is great. This is basically coming out of book 4 (since Issue 1 I started reading the books!) and it is some of the most action you'll get in the series-- gun-fights, a little espionage, and some romance. I love the art, I love the narrative. I'm into this!

Oh, speaking of which, King in a mini interview said he likes marvel and was saying, very hypothetically, if he were to do a character he'd want to do Spiderman, but he said he was interested in doing a comic.

Just finished The Battle of Jericho Hill and can't wait for the next part of this series. I hope they continue this through the actual novels. Only thing I didn't care for was when Cuthbert
died he wasn't laughing like in the novel.

Well, there have been some poetic liberties taken in this series, some things got slightly altered. I wouldn't take it personal. So far this series has been just wonderful. It's much better than the Stand adaptation in my opinion. :)

It didn't ruin it for me, I still love this series and it's great seeing more of what happened in Rolan's past. I love the art style too.

I like the novel The Stand a lot but just wasn't interested enough to get into the comic. Is The Stand adaptation decent or kind of boring?

I didn't care for it as much as the Dark Tower which I felt was vastly superior. I stopped getting the Stand after only a coupla arcs while I still buy the DT series when the hardcover trades come out. :)

Didn't want to start a new thread so let me ask this here.

Could someone break down the Dark Tower comics chronologies as related to the books?

Is stuff from each of Kings seven parts covered in the order he presented them or is it all mostly stuff from Wizard and Glass and The Gunslinger?

Thankee Sai

Can no one break it down for me, I dare not go on the Marvel website and read the summaries of the trades because some contain huge spoilers and I'm just past the hundred page of Wizard and Glass.
