Haha, this awesome! DW was one of my favorites as a kid & the first super hero that I liked. Hopefully this could lead into more comics based on the '90s Disney shows...& maybe their revivals.

Now i loved this show as a kid but really who is going to buy this? I mean i don't think the 20 something version of my self would enjoy DD as much as the 8-9 year old version did.

And the current 8-9 year olds dont know who this character is/don't buy comics.

Ever since this whole Disney buying Marvel news came out...I'm been waiting for them to at least have some kind of influence at MArvel. I thought Marvel would jump at the chance to do comics based on....

Boom had the deals first, and has all the gemstone stuff, and it's worked.

But Disney's deal with Boom is just with Pixar, the Muppets, and traditional Disney comics (Uncle Scrooge, Walt Disney Comics and Stories, Mickey Mouse and Friends, Donald Duck and Friends). While Duck Tales would most likely fall under Uncle Scrooge, but Darkwing Duck appears to be Disney expanding their deal with Boom.

Personally, I think that you'll see Disney buy Boom in the near future.

I don't like the idea of Disney buying out Boom. It would suggest bad things for the Farscape comic series

Considering that Boom is now publishing Disney's Hero Squad: Ultraheroes and Wizards of Mickey, it looks like that the deal has expanded to include all use of Disney's Mickey Mouse characters and the inclusion of Darkwing Duck and DuckTales looks like they've expanded it to include the 90's television series' as well.

Disney still has some ties to the Jim Henson Company which owns Farscape.
