Dave Filoni's Mandoverse Film

If their doing the Thrawn story, than it sure has to be a movie

Never thought I'd see Thrawn in a movie, let alone a tv show... back in 1996 reading Heir To The Empire.

Crazy.
He’s got all the potential to be one of the best film villains. Seriously love this character.

Fallen behind on The Mandalorian and they didn’t really endear themselves toward me catching up with that BS of reuniting Mando and Baby Yoda outside the confines of The Mandalorian, but… this is intriguing.

I feel like this will be the true test of whether a streaming audience matches up against a theatrical audience. Yes, we have 2/3 of the leads in the next Captain Marvel having originated on streaming shows and there’s Cap 4 picking up after Falcon and Winter Soldier, but making a culmination of all these series and bringing it to the big screen? Interested to see if it works out.
That Mando overtaking the Boba show completely for a bunch of episodes felt very dumb at the time. Now after seeing Mando season 3 to date the decision doesn’t seem any less dumb. Even though I’m still enjoying it the move negatively affected both shows.

Goddamn right.

Yeah, it ain't the end. Its Avengers 1.

Thats what I'm curious about since didn't Favreau just say the show could go on for years and years?
I definitely want it to be ongoing. Love the concept of Mandalorians and they can create new characters to help flesh things out and add complexity as time goes on. Looks forward to seeing more of the antagonist Mandalorians too.

Curious to see how this plays out. I really want to see it, but will casual audiences have enough backstory going in to it.

Grogu on the big screen will probably help though.

I am just thinking how many shows have attempted the move to movies.

Star Trek is clearly the most successful. The X-files movie between seasons did well. Serenity did the equivalent of its TV ratings. I am trying to think of others.

Twin Peaks to Fire Walk With Me. Granted it was a financial failure at the time, but it’s mostly been reappraised as one of Lynch’s best.

The Sopranos

Wonder if they get Ludwig back to score.

That film is amazing. I came to Twin Peaks long after the dust had settled but I couldn't imagine the show without the movie.

I guess Jackass would count. Then you have Borat. Sex & The City did pretty well I think. Didn't Veronica Mars get a movie too? And Community is getting one soon.
