Bend Studio Seemingly Fed Up With Days Gone 2 Discourse - PlayStation LifeStyle

Bend Studio staffers seem to have had enough of the chatter about the non-existent Days Gone 2 and the original's reception.

This will put pressure to whatever new ip Bend Studio is working on.

I think a Days Gone 2 that solves the original game's shortcomings could have been great, similar to Assassin's Creed 2 and Watch Dogs 2. They already established its world and its easier to find improvements for a sequel, rather than start from scratch with a new Ip without an established fan base yet.

I have a feeling certain fans of Days Gone will not give Bend's next game a chance simply because it isn't Days Gone 2. If they do, the game would have to be exceptionally great first to please them and forget the fact that isn't a Days Gone 2.

They don’t own FromSoftware - the developer - maybe that’s an issue.

Anyway Sony should just change it’s name to Sadly with its pivot from GaaS to a parade of remasters of newish games (still sold of PSN). They desperately need a new direction and have not landed on one yet.
