DC Direct Joker Statue a Disappointment

I just purcharsed mine at a local comic book shop. Pysched I got the last one the store had so I get home and anxiously open it. The pose is the same but the head is completely different. It looks nothing like the picture they are advertising or whats on the box. The head is narrower, the makeup around the eyes is grey not black and well it just doesn't look like Ledgers Joker. The tie and undershirt are even different then whats on the box. Has anyone else noticed this or did I just so happen to get a rare defected version of the statue? I'm thinking about returning it for false advertising.

That's very interesting. I've got a preorder in for the statue. I may cancel it now. Having just bought a DCD Joker and a HT Joker I could do with not paying out another £75.00!!

Looks more like Lex Luthor with paint on or Brandon Lees the crow than Heath Ledgers joker. Returning this later this evening.

Thanks for the heads up on this Batzilla. I have to say that the Joker Headknocker is better than this statue and that only costs £9.99. These statues are selling for around £80.00. I've just cancelled my preorder on the strength of this thread and the pics. Thanks, you've saved me quite a bit of cash.

I've managed to obtain the MM Wave 1, the DCD Figure and have a Hot Toys Joker on it's way from Hong Kong. Not bad going for someone in the UK where there is sod all for sale apart from the 5" kiddies figures and they only went on the shelves over here last week. You people in the States don't realise how luck you are.

I'm taking mine back this week.... I was soo utterly disappointed in this .. the 13" doll is 1000 times better ... I'm getting the Hot Toys doll instead

Thank you so much for reporting on this. For the price they are charging on this thing I cannot believe (well... it is DCD, so perhaps I do) that it ended up looking like this.

They made the shirt and tie more movie accurate and all its missing is some black around the eye.

I wanted to get one of these. After this heads up I'll definitely only buy from a shop and make sure I check the sculpt and paint before hand.

That is actually a spot on assessment! someone should notify Smallvilles head of merchandising. It's no good to us but after some minor alterations Smallville fans would digg it.
