It's official a new game is coming out for PC's and PS3 but guess what? It's not just an online game, it's the DC Universe game!

The official info is that we will be able to play as heroes and villains besides and against heroes like Batman, Superman, Joker and etc. The first city's which are official are Metropolis and Gotham City, the whole project is made by Sony Online Entertainment.

Can you imagine, a massive army of villains against army of heroes, in the middle of Gotham?....Wow....

After seeing how Star Wars: Galaxies turned out which has Sony Online's name on it I will definitely be waiting until long after this releases before getting excited

This is nothing new. It was first announced 2 and a half years ago. The surprise is that its still being made as not much has been let out in a long while. Theres other threads for it anyway

Sony is making it. Its a PS3 exclusive as far as consoles go, but its always been in development for the PC as well

plus i'm not to sure fo the whole create a hero/villain thing, when marvel was doing it they said they would own any character created in the game and could use them as they see fit, i wouldn't want dc to pull the same thing

I just saw the E3 trailer for DC Universe Online at IGN and i thought the game looked awesome.

I just hope they give the option to play DC characters as well.

There's a character creation option in the game, in which your character can be inspired by any other DC comics character. for instance if you're inspired by Superman you will have all his powers and if your character is inspired by Batman you will have all his Martial Arts and combat skills.

this game definitely caught my eye at the E3 press conference, hopefully they'll tighten up some of the gameplay, though, because what they shower looked kind of awful.

It always amazes me when people ask this question.

Moreso when people realize that all MMOs do this.

If you actually know the reason why MMOs charge subscription fees and are still asking this question, then, well... that just hurts.

Release date is TBA but i guess it will most likely be released sometime 2009.
