Wow, you're a first, good to know people like you exist. I like them OK, don't love them. I especially enjoyed the Batman ones, not so much the JL ones. The source material does not bother me too much - I enjoyed the notion of Deathstroke in the League of Assassins and kind of want to see it in the comics now. Or Robin joining with Talon over it was neat. Not sure what was ever dull and lifeless about Bruce Timm though. But I agree it is nice to see newer material, regardless of what people say there are a few good New 52 stories out there - (Court of Owls, Death of a Family, Batman & Robin Vol. 1, etc.). And yes always great to see animated stuff as well.
People are just too picky and too elitist. It follows New 52 so they hate that, it doesn't have Kevin Conroy so they hate that, Bruce Timm is not on board so they hate that too. It makes me wonder why they even bother to waste their time watching these then, especially when they didn't like the others. Plus, did it ever hit them that these are made with a new audience in mind? Do you think people who hate DKR or never read anything before the New 52 went "Oh my god DKR animated movie? I have to get that!" No, of course not.
I haven't yet watched Bad Blood but I look forward to, plus I am STOKED to see Batwoman.
