Here's a question about something I couldn't figure out in the beta. What does your Mentor do? Like outside of the starting missions, what do they actually influence the outcome of?

They influence the type of iconic armor you can get and the start zone for your character. In the watchtower you will find the armor you can get. There are 3 types for each mentor.

Endgame armors, early game styles, Mentor's have arch-nemesis quests that you only get if you're Mentored under them (If your mentor is Superman you won't get to fight Joker alongside Batman at 15, but you WILL fight alongside Supes against Lex) that happen at 15, 25, and a few whole chains at 30.

So basically, not much till 30.

is signing up to dc online like taking out a contract?
for example if i play the first 2 months (1 free and 2nd paid) do i have the option to not play the third month and not pay anything or is it a case of once i've set up to pay monthly i have to pay regardless of playtime or not??

This will be the decider between me getting the game or not.

Picked up the game and I must say it's fun as hell!

I love how they have streamlined all the 'classic mmo' stuff out of it and kept it more action packed - If I dont play for 2 days I dont feel like I've been missing out on anything, as I would with other mmos.

Is it the next WoW killer? Hell no. But this game is a MUST for any comic fan - Teaming up with Catwoman to take out Huntress, or taking down the entire Teen Titan group is just too school for cool. =)

got to level 28 with Mr Mystik...had to defeat Omac and Brother Eye which was a tough battle....before the servers went down I was called to battle The Spectre

All you have to do to pay is when you feel like playing this game a certain month is just buy a $20 PSN Card. You don't need a Credit Card to pay for this game when you want to pay. Just go to a store the month you want to pay & get the card & then add the money to your PSN Wallet & then voila buy the One Month Subscription package

Sorry to ask dumb questions, but what's the difference to beta and normal?

thanks donut.. been asking this question to alot of forums with no answers.
is it the same then on steam...just add money when i want a months worth of dc fun?

teamed up with Green Arrow and Green Lantern to fight the Spectre....seems Eclipso took control of him...hit level 30 afterwards

downloading this now...cant wait to play it...does it look good with all the weird and wonderful heroes and villains?

Am I missing something? If Im on a pve server do I need to do something to get into the pvp arenas and legends. I queue in but nothing. Ive gotten onto the alerts fine.

when is the broker room gonna be active. I would much rather get gear there then try to find it. Would be better to gear up.

Also what's with the factions. I'm still neutral with them and I'm level 20. I have done alot of missions and bosses for star labs and Wayne tech and sentinels of magic. At this point in beta I was cooperative with them or friendly.

That's how I felt on a dual pistols guy I rolled yesterday. Named him Gunslinger, and it worked.

It wasn't until the next day at around lvl 17 that I realized I typed his name as Gunsligner though.

:(

lol yeah I had checked the spelling twice...yesterday I saw someone called Moon Kight....i think they maybe in the same boat

I can't believe some of the names I've seen.

Literally, theres an entire group running around with names like

xGreenxArrowx
xSupermanx
xBatmanx
xWonderxWomanx.

Their league name? xJusticexLeaguex. Not to mention all the Jal Hordans or Klark Cents etc etc.

People need more creativity.

lol
I saw Cable and Colossus earlier today

I've seen some of that too.

Pex Luthor
The J0ke
The Pheonix

I wish people would create their own character and not rip-off already made characters.

Imagination is a dying art. Used to be we as kids would eat up the chance to create our own hero. Once I get on here, I'm coming with a unique name even though I'm sure there is some Marvel/DC/Image character that already has it. Naming characters after adjectives has become the norm in the comics world.

I'm not gonna pretend that my two characters Pumara and Dreamweaver have incredibly original names, but at least they are different in my ideas of backstory, their appearance, than someone at Marvel or DC. Most of the characters everyone makes have had playable appearances somewhere in a past game. Go play those games if you want to play those characters.

yeah tell 'em...*whistling as I look as my Miracleman toon*
