Fell several pages behind, that's what happens when I don't check this thread for a day lol, moves fast. So quoting things from pages ago.
So, rumor has it that next month we may see the first major update...which COULD include the currently worked on electric power set.
ATM since I hit 30 with Crimson Tiger days ago I thought I'd level Nightbeat up to 30 as well, and maybe start working on a villain after that. Figured I'd leave all the end game gear and lvl 30 questing for later, no need to rush to see everything there is yet. I do hope the above is true tho, I thought for my third char I'd make an anime homage type char, the whole burning fighting spirit martial artist/brawling deal. I wanted to make him have electric powers tho, so think I'll hold off on making a third hero for those powers to drop.
How long are we talking? And should I expect multiple deaths like in GI. I died 4 times and one guy on my team died 11 lol
Wait until you get to Bludhaven, now there's a nightmare lol. Even with a good group that place is tough right off the bat. I've yet to get in a group (done it like 5x now) where the entire group hasn't died atleast once just clearing out the normal enemies near the beginning.
BTW, are there end of mentor line quests that involve each mentor personally? With Crimson Tiger at 30 I had to rescue Superman from Lex and co, and it was an awesome mission. You storm into the Legion's HQ, beat down Metallo, then Cheetah, then another Exobyte user, and finally take down Lex...all solo, was such a badass feeling quest for an MMO. However not sure if that's a quest everyone gets, or just because Superman was my heroes mentor.
I think that's one of the main reasons DCUO is going to ruin me on other MMO's tho. Aside from thinking it'll be hard to go back to the usual click and wait MMO style, is that the story lines in this game are really well done. Each little story chunk is well thought out, engaging, and makes the story feel more personal to your char than most MMO's, "collect 10 of these, the end".
