De Niro, Pfeiffer in Luc Besson's 'The Family'

Michelle looks so old :csad:

She looked amazing in the other movie where she was married to a mob guy. Ah my childhood memories.

Besson hasn't made anything good since 97. Trailer gives me no hope that will change.

The movie now opens September 13th. All this moving around never signals a huge sign of confidence from the studio but oh well.

I think it looks great.

its out. so how was it?
The movie was pretty much savaged by critics and has a 33% rating on RT. General consensus seems to be cast were good, movie was a letdown.

I didn't get a chance to see this. It seems like it just came and went within the first week. Shame. :csad:

Yeah... the cast got rave reviews, many claiming that they deserved better than this. But the movie apparently lacks proper structure and a defined tone.

Michelle was always singled out for praise so I'm happy about that.

It made just over $35 million at the box office, so it's already made it's budget back or broke even if you factor in the marketing costs (Which I'm sure cost $10.00 in total). Factor in it's potential overseas and it's been a mild success.

It doesn't open here in the UK until 22 November so lets hope I like the movie.
